Does the trick
I've been looking for a convenient form of exercise for grip and wrist strength which is happily answered by this ball.My underlying purpose was to help improve my shots in badminton which relies on both, and after a few weeks of use 4-5x a week for about 10-20min a day Ive noticed some improvement already.Pros:- Easy to start with the automated system once you get the hang of the technique (instructional video link helpfully included)- This ball offers up a good amount of resistance and will likely offer something for all levels of strength.- Convenient to take with you out and about at the office or elsewhereCons:- Can be a bit difficult and uncomfortable to hold onto at first- I found this got a bit easier with more use and grip strengthening, however it would be nice if the grip was a little softer to hold.- The whirring noise. Doesn't personally bother me during use, but found it got annoying for others in the same room.Overall- 4.5/5Does exactly what I bought it for in a very convenient to use and store form. Quality build and feel; well worth the money spent.

Great for warmups after injury!
I injured my wrist tendons 6 months ago rock climbing and had to take several months off to fully recover. As part of my recovery I looked into all sorts of aids and tools to help. I have previously had a powerball that I used as a desk toy and remembered that it was supposedly good for circulation and warming up tendons before doing something intense like climbing. I’m delighted to report that it seems to really help. I currently use the powerball as a pre-warmup to promote circulation to my forearms, wrists and hands. I also use it once I return from the gym at lower revolutions to cool down. I’m not a doctor and don’t offer any of this as medical advice but for me it works well and let’s be honest it’s a lot of fun too!

Wears out fairly quickly but is an effective exercise
I've worn down the mechanism after just a few weeks due to overuse. It makes a fair amount of noise now. Having said that, it did a good job improving my grip and wrist strength.

2nd attempt after 20 years. Excellent build quality
The media could not be loaded. This is my second attempt at using the Powerball.I purchased one of the original with the string start.I manage to get the string trapped inside. I eventually got the sting out and lost interest.Read some reviews on the automatic start, with some people not able to get started.I purchased the new automatic due my previous bad luck with the string start.I dusted of my original as a practice as the sting start enables you to get a faster start speed. after 6 attempts I mastered left and right hand to starting . Unable to see how fast due to the dead battery on the display.Found a great YouTube video on replacing LCD battery. The original battery is of a high standard with no leakage after all these years.Manage to get up to 10k on the oid original. Finally onto the new shiny Powerball. Due to practice with the original the automatic start is a lower speed so you need to master the technique. Done it in about 3 attempts. This new Powerball is slightly heavier and larger. With the same effort as the original I got to 5k.I have read a few reviews with good results using as physiotherapy for injuries. I don't have any injuries, but I will use a bit common sense and build up to 10k and stay there for 3 to 4 weeks beft I try to go any faster to avoid any injuries.I think it's worth spending money on the Powerball instead of the cheap copies as these are built to last.Video is my old original Powerball. My new one does light up

Excellent for improving grip strength
I would strongly recommend this ball to anyone who needs to improve their grip strength particularly those who like me are getting on in years. The only drawback initially was that my grip strength was barely adequate to wind the ball up to start it.That is no longer a problem!

Metal Power... Minus the counter :(
I had the Powerball string version from years ago, and that was awesome so decided to get another.Loved the look of the metal Diablo 😈 version, wasn't keen on the cost though. The Amazon price was lower than others I saw.The device comes in a cool box, has a case, and a keyring which is nice. The diablo is quite weighty and a bit smaller than the old one, and the autostart was a little tricky initially but a few mins in I was away!My main disappointment is that there is no LCD counter on this, which is annoying and considering the price, is a real downer. The ball itself is really good though, metal all the way! Seems sturdy but time will tell. The old one lasted a long time.So if it had a counter, 5*. Considering price and lack of a counter, 3*. The counter helps make it a bit more addictive, trackable and competitive - trying to beat my own rotation scores and power! Alas this does not have it.

My 1st gyro ball
A bit too soon for a proper review, but I have been using it on n off for a few days now, while watching telly especially, you can really feel it working, which for a gyro the size of a tennis ball is pretty awesome
