Really fun but not instructions
This is a really cool toy, it takes a minute to figure out since it did bot come with directions, but once we did figure it out. It was so fun to play with on the beach. It would have been nice to have some form of instructions to know the best way to use it, as it took a long time to figure it out. Heavy and sturdy.

Beach Necessity!
This is a great beach toy! We’ve had fun over the years making drip castles. It’s easier to use and my grandkids age is four through nine all played with it.

Takes Work to Ensure it doesn't Clog
The HABA Spilling Funnel XXL has been a fun toy for my kids at the beach, but it fell a bit short of my expectations. The concept is great—kids can pour sand or water through the funnel and watch it flow through the spouts, which definitely adds a creative element to sandcastle building. However, I found that it’s not as durable as I’d hoped for something labeled "XXL." The plastic construction feels a bit flimsy, and after just a few uses, the funnel part started to bend slightly. While my kids still enjoy playing with it, I’m unsure how long it will hold up with regular use. Additionally, the funnel works best with dry sand or water, but when the sand is even slightly damp, it tends to clog, which can be frustrating. It’s a nice addition to our beach toys, but not the ultimate tool I had anticipated. For younger kids, it’s still a lot of fun, but for older kids (closer to 8 years old), it may not hold their attention for long. Overall, it’s a decent toy, but there are better sandcastle building tools out there for the price. Pros: - Fun concept for sand and water play - Encourages creativity with sandcastle building - Easy to use and lightweight - Great for younger children Cons: - Tends to clog with damp sand - May not hold the attention of older children

Update!
Yeah like other reviews said, it doesn’t work. The water runs right past the sand and just ends up being a funnel for water. Update; My kids figured it out nd love this thing lol. It is really cool if you like to make these weird dot blobs all over hahah Its pretty cool if you can figure it out.

Useless
Don't bother with this. I fail to see how anyone could write a good review of this useless toy. We were very careful in how we used it, after seeing a few reviews of it getting clogged (but so many good reviews, so I bought it). No matter what we did, it pretty much didn't work. We even experimented by switching sides for the sand and water. Nope. Didn't work better. We sifted the sand to remove the rocks and seaweed (which is a pain) and put it in the proper side. We added water and it either ran out and left the sand behind, or the sand got wet and clogged the end. We found that using about half the water, it sort of worked, but using half the water it emptied in seconds. Not worth it. We left it on Cape Cod, because it was crap.

Most fun beach toy
Holds water and sand. It allows you to easily build sand castles or mud pies having both water and sand mixed perfectly.

Not the greatest sand toy
We saw these on Instagram and thought they would be so fun for our trip to the beach. The videos were awesome. Perhaps it was user error but it just didn’t work the way we were hoping. It seemed to be great quality but just didn’t make the fun drip sand castles well. It would get clogged and the kids were pretty bored with it after a few minutes of trying to get it to work. I loved the concept but the execution just wasn’t great. It’s a good size, could be fun if it worked properly. Just didn’t turn out as cute and fun as we were hoping.

Drip castles!
Super excited to use this at the beach in two weeks! Last year, while making drip castles, I was impaled with a barb of some sort and my finger turned red and swelled. My kids bought this for me for Christmas so I still could make them safely. Will update when we get back! Seems to be heavy plastic and well made. The handle will be useful too!
