Check the serial number!
This review may be specific to the 900VA unit, it's the only model I've bought.After initially buying 2, one was returned as dead-on-arrival.The batteries in these UPS's have a shelf life of 2 years if not charged regularly.The 900VA serial number have the following format:2918YYLxxxxx where Y is the year of manufacture, L is a letter, and xxxxx the serial number.If the YY is more than a year ago, the battery may be damaged. One of the ones I got was 5 years old, and very very dead.If you'd like a more in depth explanation, search youtube or google for jr1qRlz25AQ

Cheap and effective with great tech support
Surprised it broke down. Never had one go down. Could happen to anything. However, Tech support were great and replaced. No issues. Glad I bought from Amazon. Remember to register product.

Good for my CCTV recorder
I use it for my CCTV recorder and was more than enough .Is a good one for small devices to keep alive 20 or 30 if power issues

Just perfect for a normal computer and monitor
I am using normally big brands but decided to have a try with this brand.So far happy with the purchase.The price is hard to beat. The load for the 900VA is around 25% for a gaming pc and a 29" monitor.Has a monitoring software and the unit is not very heavy.The 900VA comes with one PC and two UK sockets.It has 3 years warranty with the manufacturer and probably needs to be opened to have the battery changed.Overall the price/features raport is great.
