Opening cans are less of a hassle
I do not have a big kitchen, so an electronic can opener taking up counter space was out of the question. My manual can openers would often rust and break. This product being a hybrid of a full electrical can opener and a manual hand one works very well. The can opener has a magnetic safety switch to turn on, and a manual release if the can top gets stuck (which hasnt happened). It definitely made cooking easier. I can not find any cons about the product except for a little elbow grease is needed to get the batteries in, but not a major issue.

SEEMS TO WORK FINE BUT, IT ALWAYS LEAVES A SHARP TAB AT THE END OF THE CUT SO, YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT HANDLING EMPTY CANS. THE LAST ONE I HAD DID NOT PRODUCE ANY SHARP EDGES OR SHARP TABS THAT WOULD REALLY BE HAZARDOUS.

Wore out
I had one for years and it finally wore out. I bought another one and it won't work now. Bought it in August, used it maybe 5 times. Now I can't open cans because I have no strength in my hands.

Works pretty good so far. Takes a little adjusting and can opener does not auto stop many times. Otherwise works pretty well.
