This little thing comes in handy, no more dripping stuff going to the big garbage can. Easy to clean and so handy, it stands alone, can hang on cabinet door or can attach it to wall. I have mine on the cabinet door and it's so handy. Not too small, no odor and easy to clean. I love it.

We actually couldn’t mount this over our cabinet door b/c of the position of the handle, but it works just great over the lip of a deep drawer. Love that, in spite of its convenient larger capacity, it doesn’t take up valuable counter space in our teeny city apartment. Great size for a few days of scraps (family of two, meal prep scraps on Sundays and then basically coffee grounds/paper filters, tea bags, and lots of veggie & fruit peels for ~3 days before we have to empty it). Easy to empty, easy to line with compost bags, easy way to access (love the two-way lid), easy to clean, no smells, no flies, and even our coonhound who gets into everything left it alone/couldn’t get into it even though it was easy-access for us. Great solution for any home kitchen, but esp for smaller kitchens w little counter space.

I love this for my food waste. I have small kitchen and the footprint on the is not sticking out to far and it is very functional when I am chopping vegetables, fruit etc, I do it on the surface above where it is place over the cupboard and I just swipe all the food waste in there!

Super handy for quick disposal of scraps that would smell up your larger trash can!

The size and shape are good for limited countertop space. But. The lid apparatus is a bit complicated and wonky. It won’t be easy to get scraps inside this thing without making a bit of a mess. There are a lot of nooks and crannies around the opening. It’s going to get cruddy right away and will be hard to clean. We returned it.

I have an outdoor compost bin, and prior to this I just used an old cereal Rubbermaid type container without a lid for my indoor scraps. It was getting gross, it was see through and did not have a cover for when I had people over. My father visited once and was grossed out by it and asked me to put it outside. This one is much nicer looking and no one would know it is compost unless it was open. There is an internal container that cleans out really easily and feels fairly sturdy. It comes out and goes back in very easily and has little finger-holds (handholds is too generous here). I am not quite brave enough to attempt putting it through the dishwasher, as I am not sure how it would fair and I wasn't able to find anything saying it is dishwasher safe. Per the page, you can also put bags within the container, which I am sure would work, if you can find the right sized bags. The top can open/close two different ways, one just a standard up and down like anything with a lid, but it also goes....backwards? I really like the flexibility of it. I have it just on my countertop, but it comes with a plastic hook that can put it over certain doors as well as a sticky attachment if you want to mount it. All in all, if you are looking for a compost container for your indoor scraps, this is a pretty solid purchase.
