These motors are strong, easy to install, and very fun. Rode around Crater Lake in Oregon and it handled the hills easily. The peddle assist makes bike riding more natural. I have hub motors that I used before I discovered Bafang mid drive and they are gathering dust.

Bare bones BBS-HD 1000 watt MOTOR comes with mounting hardware that includes Bafang notched motor bracket that holds motor assembly, main steel 4 notch round bottoms bracket nut, bottom bracket aluminum lock ring, 2 bracket bolts, and 5-chainring bolts. This is the sought after, but now discontinued UART version. It will work on 48-52v battery.

First thing to note: This motor is euro restricted in the firmware. It will top out at 15.5MPH, this is a firmware limit and is not modifiable. Its slow, but very very good range, even with a basic 36V 11Ah battery. The motor works well and I have already put ~300 mi on it.

Der Motor kam gut verpackt an, die Montage dauerte nur knapp eine Stunde. Leider macht der Controller was er will, die Unterstützungsstufen 1-4 zeigen keine Unterschiedliche Leistungsabgabe, diese sind alle auf ca. 80W geregelt. (ca. 2A) Ab Stufe 5 wird mehr Leistung abgegeben, bei Stufe 9 nimmt der Controller 15 A - sprich 600W bei einem vollen Akku. Zumindest das passt, daher 2 Sterne. Danach habe ich mit der Software die eingestellten Werte ausgelesen, die passen alle. Leider stimmen die gespeicherten Werte nicht mit den gemessenen Werten zusammen. Der Motor wird daher wieder ausgebaut und geht zurück. Mal sehen, wie lange es dauert, bis ich mein Geld zurück bekomme
