Worth every penny; great belt for the money
Summary: Picture of my old belt versus this Hanks Stitched Gunner included. This is a great belt for the money if you need a sturdy leather belt for all-around use. Sizing explanation/description in full review below.Full review: I have had the same all-around belt (jeans, weekends, travel, active work, etc.) since I was 16 years old. I am now 40. My old belt held up remarkably well, even though back then quality wasn't so hard to find locally. Last week, the buckle hole gave up the ghost. I usually look for belts locally, but most local stores are now low-cost, imported, throw-away after a year, items... at least in my "casual gear" price range. When you lift the belt off of the rack and it feels like a combination of Teflon and plastic, yet says "real leather", I run away. Also, for leather belts that stretch off-the-rack. I found this belt on amazon with good reviews and decided to give it a go.This is a great belt. It is thicker than my old belt (see pic), seems to be of high quality leather, and feels secure when I buckle up. I didn't get it for a CCW. However, I always have heavy tool pouches, phone holster, etc. on my belt. The belt feels secure with these attachments. Additionally, I replaced the nickel belt buckle and Chicago screws with the included brass buckle and screws right away without any problems.Sizing... First off I have to explain what a tailor told me many years ago. Americans are lied to. Because we are one of the fattest countries in the world, the clothing companies subtract a few inches (around 3-4") from your actual pant's waist line when they describe your size. This is why so many Americans think Euro sizing is small... they aren't so fat as to need to pretend that 4" of waist doesn't exist. So, when local companies like these actually size according to a real tape measure, people think it's off. It's not. I wear a 33x34 Levi's jean (505) and a tape measure lists my waist at 36" (not 33").It's similar to how they measure these belts. Since I did NOT purchase this belt for IWB or OWB carry, I purchased my regular, "actual" size: 36. It fits perfectly. There are 8 slots in the belt, I wear it on the #4 slot (4th from the end furthest from the buckle). If it were any longer, the tongue would get in the way of my phone holster. Two things to keep in mind. First, this is a thick belt (3/16" by my tape measure). You might want to make sure that whatever holster or pants loop this thing is going through can accommodate the thickness of the leather. Second, I made the mistake of not checking out the company's website (I don't think Amazon likes listing websites in reviews, but you can google "Hank's Clothing"). There is greater selection on the company website, and I promise you I will snatch up the brown, embossed eagle version of this gun belt as soon as my budget permits.

Fantastic belt, great customer service
I'd been looking for a good gunbelt for some time, but didn't want something that looked super "tacticool", so I could wear it every day and not attract attention. After doing some research I came across this belt and figured I'd give it a shot. The belt itself:I'll admit I was a bit wary at first: My initial impression was that it just seemed like...well, any normal leather belt. Very well constructed and sturdy, mind you, but pretty normal. That changed when I actually put it on with my holster and firearm (a full size 1911). Wow! This thing is STIFF. Even with a fairly heavy gun, this belt has minimal sag and keeps it's rigidity very well. The belt is very thick (at least when compared to any normal leather belt I've worn) but not in a bad way. It feels incredibly well built and stiff, but still very comfortable to wear. The buckle is an absolute tank, and I don't see it becoming an issue.Customer service:I mistakenly ordered a size larger than I probably should have. The belt still fit, but I had to use the last hole to get it snug. I emailed Hank's, asking about their exchange program. I got a response back very quickly saying they would ship me a new belt in the correct size and a prepaid return envelope (originally ordered a size 38, needed a 36). The new belt showed up at my door a few days later and we were off to the races. Absolutely fantastic customer service and a pleasure to do business with. Conclusion: l wouldn't hesitate at all to get another one of these belts in the future if I needed to. While there is a very small amount of sag when carrying a larger gun, such as my 1911, it's minimal at worst. If you do carry a heavier gun there are even sturdier belts they offer. An excellent belt at an excellent price, and I couldn't be happier.

Amazing
I bought this belt on a limb as I am just now getting into concealed carry. Right off the bat I noticed the craftsmanship and quality of the leather. It looks and feels like a very well designed belt. The leather feels good and strong, not cheap. The stitching is well done and doesn't look to have any weak spots. the added feature of being able to remove the clasp is a major plus and the use of Chicago screws vs buttons is a major plus. I gave it a 5 for durability because I have not had it long enough to tell yet but seeing how I can destroy an anvil with a rotten banana it shouldn't take long to tell, plus the quality of this belt is amazing. As far as the functionality of the belt and how it carries, I must say I'm impressed. I never realized how having a stiffer and thicker leather could make such a difference. No matter how you carry, IWB or OWB, this belt keeps the gun from sagging adding both comfort and reliability. Personally I am adamant that I don't print or leave any inclination or suspicion that I am carrying. Having this belt has been a huge help, both holding the gun upright and not sagging and holding it secure to your persons. The only scenario in which I would tell someone not to get this belt would be if they were considering the Hanks belt with the metal core.Overall this belt is amazing and I would recommend this to anyone who asked.

5 year review
Great product! I've worn this belt pretty much every day for the past 5 years. It's got a slight crease where I buckle it, but other than that it's still in really good condition. Looks like it'll last for years to come!
