The unit looks great and was easy to install, BUT I went to the fridge and grabbed a flavored water, went out to my bike and dropped it in. On the way to the pool I hit a bump...the bottle dropped out of the bottom. Being a "Machine Shop Owner" I added a small tab to the lower lip of your holder and was back in business. If you have a second run of parts, a good design change would be to extend that lower support tab. It would make the holder more universal when it comes to bottle size. Thanks, ML Greeson PS, a "Snap-On" Rubber tab would be cheep and easy to install....

My frame has always had the mounting points for a bottle holder, but I've always just ridden in my neighborhood, so I never bothered. Lately, I've been looking to ride longer distances away from my house, so I decided that I need a carrier to bring water with me. This one was a good price and proved easy to install. I've used it on a couple of longer rides so far to carry a stainless double wall bottle. It's kept the bottle in place within easy reach and it doesn't interfere with my legs while I'm peddling. Really can't ask for more than that.

I don't know why there are less than four-star reviews for this water bottle holder. It is a very nice, sturdy holder. It is made of metal and is powder coated to a very nice finish. It holds a 20 oz bottle perfectly and will not allow it to slip out when going over bumps. If a smaller 16.9 oz bottle is used, it will need to be in an insulated sleeve to fit snugly. I never go riding without taking a 20 oz bottle, so it is ideal for me.

I got this for my bike then realized I didn't have the mounting holes I bike. Tried to return but shipping was more than I paid for holder! Hence only 4 stars. Subsequently I gave it to my daughter and she loves it. Very sharp looking and holds bottles nicely.

I used this on a Honda Crf250l same idea but possibly generated more vibrations. Although I wouldn't think that much more. It was apparently mounted to deal with those issues. That said it's a well made and very light cage. Unfortunately it developed a crack ( approx 135 miles of use ) where the cage supports the bottom of the bottle. It's probably fine for street bicycles, not sure about mountain bikes may have the same issue? Or was it just the unit recieved. It is a wonderfully light cage.

It's pretty simple but it works as intended. When I actually pulled this out of the package I really thought it was made of plastic. It's super light weight and has a coating on it that resembles plastic. Had to remind myself that it is aluminum.I'm actually going to buy, at least, one more of these later on. I want to change out the older wire cage on my wife's bike for one of these because this is far lighter and far better at receiving a bottle and retaining it.Update August 2017:Had to drop rating after losing a bottle. I got a few bumps on the road and this tossed my bottle. Upon closer inspection it was caused by this cage stretching to the point that it no longer hugged my bottle and was basically acting as a loose cup holder. I'm currently using a zip tie to keep it from stretching until I can buy a better one.

Nice product and sturdy. It holds the 20oz bottle during a “punisher” ride. The paint finish looks like plastic and it matches my bike colors. Definitely is a good pro and I’ll recommend it.

Great product that is stylish and matches the colors on my TREK exactly. Stretches just enough to accommodate most drinks and bottles. You do have to use the PROVIDED SCREWS though, as the thumb screws that came on your bike will not permit the bottle placement.
