About Terra Essential Scents What began as a lifetime passion and affinity for candles, natural oils, color and gemstones, led to Carin Constantakis' kitchen stove 6 years ago. Carin began making soy candles at first, as a hobby, to share with family and friends. She was on a quest, of sorts, wanting to channel her passions and to ensure that the candles burning in her home were 100% pure and natural, a rare find in today's market. Carin lead a very full and busy life as a mother of four, registered nurse and co-owner of 2 small family businesses for the past 17 years, including a personal care residence for seniors and child development center. And, at the age of 39, she realized that there was something else that she was being called to do. With the support and encouragement of her children and John, Carin's husband and business partner, in 2008, terra essential scents was created and took on a life force of its own. It has been both a wonderful and humbling experience over the past 4 years to receive all of the positive and often times, very personal feedback from family, friends and customers. Every aspect of product development, from creation through shipping, takes place at their studio in Allison Park, Pennsylvania, just north of Pittsburgh. They are committed to providing the highest quality, all natural products, hand-poured products at an affordable price. Suggested Use: To ensure optimal burning and candle life, allow enough burn time with each use to achieve a full liquid pool, approximately 3-4 hours (approximately 1 hour for votives). Do not burn more than 4 hours at a time, doing so will greatly accelerate the burn rate. Allow candle to completely cool and harden between burns. Trim wick between burns to remove any carbon clusters, carbon residue, and to maintain wick at approximately 1/4 inch. Massage Candle Use: Extinguish candle when desired liquid pool is achieved. Either dip fingers into wax or use a ladle/spoon and massage onto skin. Be careful to test the wax temperature and oil blend on skin before use and remember that glass cylinder are extremely hot during candle burning. To recycle or reuse glass cylinders, melt any remaining wax at low temperature in the oven. Pour any remaining wax into garbage container or outside (never rinse with water, pour in sink, or place in dishwasher - wax will clog pipes). Wipe out any remaining liquid wax with a disposable paper product. Any remaining wax residue can be removed with rubbing alcohol. INGREDIENTS Hand-poured 100% soy wax candle infused with essential oils and enhanced with coconut, avocado, and vitamin E oils. Moss Agate WARNINGS Always keep burning candle within eyesight and never unattended. Remove label before lighting. Keep wick trimmed to 1/4 inch. Burn on heat resistant, stable surface, and away from children, pets, and drafts. Never touch or move burning candle when wax is liquid. Use snuffer to extinguish candle. Never burn a candle near anything flammable. Do not burn more than 4 hours. Never use candle as a night light. Avoid massage use during pregnancy.
