Easy to install and great price
I live in an apartment and my balcony door with three panes faces the west. So the afternoon sun really heats up my apartment. To help beat the sun I purchased this film. Very easy to install. You clean the glass then spray the window with soapy water and the film. You then attach to the glass and use the tools that have felt on them to go from top to bottom to remove the excess liquid. I installed them at the beginning of this summer and they work great. Also, easy to remove.

Seems pretty good
I put up my window film the other day…and it seems to still be in place.I followed the directions provided as best I could, with exception to placing the peel back on the window as I removed air bubbles. I found it difficult to see what I was doing, so I just left out that step. However, I did cover my card in a lens cloth to protect the surface. You might want to figure this out yourself. My windows were exactly the width of my material. I over cut and trimmed as required. I found the trimming a bit difficult, but the wet barrier allowed for adjustment before trimming. I live in a very old house with wonky window glazing anyway. But I’m not sorry with the results. It’s a decent sized window and I did get a few pieces of lint between the glass and film. I’d say, it’s more noticeable from outside than in… easy enough for me to ignore. I cleaned off a years worth of cat nose smudges before application…so ya, I can live with it. Weird, as I’m a frame straightener.I chose the film range rated for indoor plants. I live in the PNW and definitely feel this is my best option even if it does feel a bit like a cloudy day. I get morning and evening sun that really heats up the house in the summer. Normally in summer, I cannot open my blinds before noon, so cloudy day film seems a better option than curtains for me…and the plants. Very happy I didn’t go with the darkest film.No air conditioning! I’ll see how this goes. I’ve also decided to film all the small window panes in my sunroom, the room normally gets too hot to use in summer, unless your a cactus. I felt like it was pretty easy to film the first window with, about 95% success, so I could do more windows. If your an average joe you can properly affix the film. Follow the directions. If i want absolute perfection I think I could have pulled the film, rinse, and gave it another go. Paying a professional is also an option.Prepare your window. I scraped as well as cleaned the glass and frames.A note: use plenty of water. It’s easy enough to card and release air and water pockets.Take care of film barrier plastic separation. If your tint film creases just a little it will stay.Set up a best lint free place to separate film. I did not and got some spots.Maybe, get a second set of hands so the film never has to touch another surface while working.Understand your standards and what you can live with. My window isn’t perfect, but it’s also not too shabby. If you cannot handle too shabby…

They work super well. Room instantly cooled down. Difficult to trim.
I wanted to try these out for my bedroom, the hottest room in the house, on the 2nd floor and on top of that, it is south facing. Our windows need to be replaced anyway, but that is an expensive task.I put these on, and the room INSTANTLY felt cooler. So they definitely do something. My only complaint is the difficulty in trimming the film once it is on the windows. I had a hard time getting anything to look nice. Looks decent from the outside. But my shades/curtains are always down anyway, so I don't care too much.Because they worked so well, and were not that difficult to apply, (I am a small 5'5 female, and I could do it, the air bubbles aren't difficult to get out, even just with the tool provided, tho, a squeegee would probably be more efficient.) I want to do the rest of the south facing windows. I will need a professional to cut it and trim it because it was very difficult to trim, maybe the utility knife I had was dull? So I recommend the product, but if you want it to look flawless and perfect you may need a professional to trim it and install it meticulously.Overall, if you are thinking about this... GET IT! It really works, I was actually surprised at how well it worked for heat/sunlight. Great product. Wish it came with better tools/cutting/trimming instructions tho... :(AND pro tip, for everyone saying that they don't stick... This is not true. You just have to REALLY clean the windows (I used windex,) before you apply the soapy water on both the windows and film.

Good not Great
Nice thickness, which helps with install and assumed durability. Don’t think the scotch tape used to keep it rolled-up is ideal. It peeled a small area off…so, you might want to use the footer (opposite of your taped end, as your top edge) and cut the end that uses the scotch tape. My glass allowed room for me to trim, but it could be a problem for certain applications.Overall, it works well enough, with an exception. I guess the exception is logical…but it caught me off guard. The film requires “sunlight”…which means the darker the day, the little-to-no coverage. Therefore, zero coverage at night, and very little in the early am, depending on if it’s facing the east vs west.I ordered one roll to test and didn’t realize the exception until after ordering the 2nd roll to finish the job. So, I’ll likely return the 2nd roll, consider the 1st roll a sunk cost, and find a product that doesn’t require the “reflected light” to conceal.I think a more accurate term for this product is a sun blocker film with a conditional concealment feature. I could see this being a major shock for those who only test it in the sunlight and assume they have coverage at all times.

Works as advertised
Followed instructions, easy enough installation. During the day, you cannot see in but I can clearly see out. I do not have any way to take the temperature, but its an obvious difference in heat allowed through.Packaging comes in a roll, so naturally the film wants to keep that shape after unraveling it, making installation a little annoying. Helped me to roll it out and weigh it down a bit before installation. I recommend a soft card to push bubbles out as even using the plastic film, I scratched it a bit using a credit card. More so laziness on my part than an issue with the product.Purchasing another roll to keep working on my back slider. Thanks!

Garbage
You cannot see out from inside ...it makes the whole window black! Could have taped a black Bristol board on the window for $1.50.

Gute Fensterfolie + einfache Montage

Finally have some privacy!
The product does as it suggests...giving you privacy and reducing how much can be seen from the outside. If you follow the instructions perfectly, and clean your windows well before applying then you'll get perfect results! I got the black and it reduces the sun light a lot, so male sure you chose the colour best for your needs.
