Great for chin bathing very fine

I use this sand with my chinchilla as it’s easy to get a hold of and a decent price. Only criticism I really have is the packaging, every other time I order this, it’s USUALLY really good and keeps all the sand in the bag sealed tightly, although I recently received a pack of sand, and whilst opening the packaging the sand inside was already open, causing sand to go everywhere.I will say, as unlucky as it, even the sand being very fine, the big pile of sand was relatively easy to clean up all things considered.

Good value for money

I bought this on price, let's be honest. Instead of the usual, traditional, product which I feel is rather expensive for what it is, I thought I would try this product which I have not seen before. It's 4/5 Kg of chinchilla bathing sand for about the same price as a couple of mug fulls of the regular stuff from the pet shop. The boys will never know, I thought. But I was wrong. They do know. And I can see why. It feels very different. It's a fine sand but it doesn't feel as smooth as the normal stuff which I think is clay or something. This feels more like very fine sand sand. sharper if you like. But they still roll and twirl in it now they are getting used to it so maybe they will stop looking at me strangely soon, when I put the bath in their cage with this new strange stuff in it. We are into the third week now and it's looking good!

Good quality sand and cheaper than a lot of others. Recently though, the bags have been open with a lot of and at the bottom. So much was missing from my last one I asked for a refund. Ended up all over my floor too so I had to hover when I didn't want to.

the actual bathing powder is great! and my chinchilla loves it, but I shall not be buying this again as the packaging was terrible! the tub was cracked and the powder was leaking out, if it wasn't for the very thin layer of bubble wrap I would probably have lost it all over the floor when I opened it! luckily I had something else to put it into I was very disappointed!

I got this as it was a good price for the amount. I like to change my hamster and gerbils sand bowls every other day to keep it fresh. This sand is lovely and not gritty like some other sand
