Very good product, Just as I expected!
Very good slicer for the home use. I buy bulk cheese and meat and it works very well for what I need, seems very durable and easy to clean. I like it very much.

It's ok for the money!!!
For cheese steaks, it cut the meat very thin and did a great job. On the other hand Cutting cheese you have to go very slow. I would say the biggest problem is the feet, they slide terribly, I needed my wife to help by holding the machine! I have a hand crank slicer that has suction cups on the feet and for a 40 year old machine it actually cuts better than this electric. but It's hard for me to crank it after a tractor accident and arthritis. This does clean easily and if it didn't require 2 people to operate it. I would of rated it better.

Works great BUT
I do find this to be difficult to really clean and disinfect. The meat falls out of the back onto the unit with no type tray to catch it in or way to place a plate under it. There is a piece of plastic that is on the bottom front of the blade that little pieces of meat gather thus adding to the difficulty of cleaning and disinfection.

Very poor slicer
Bought this right before the Christmas holidays to slice the sandwich meats and cheeses. To bad in my hurry to get the garbage out I threw away the packaging or it would be returned now. Its way underpowered - the motor literally stalls slicing turkey breast! The blade seems to rotate much slower than that of a similar low-end slicer (Cuisinart) that I had some years ago and that performed adequately for the lightweight slicing jobs I do. The blade does not seem very sharp, either. Finally, the slicer carriage seems to be slightly misaligned, so the meat does not get quite evenly sliced when going for thin cuts. This underperforming slicer will be my very first charitable donation of the year! Buyer beware.

Lightweight, sharp, difficult to clean
Pro: sharp, affordableCon: too lightweight, too small for slicing roasts, quite difficult to cleanI bought this food slicer for my spouse for Christmas, and in the time we have been using it we have found that it does well on sausages but is too small for slicing up roasts. This machine is far too lightweight; the suction cups do not grip the counter and it takes one arm to hold the thing in place while the other tries to hold and slice the meat. The hand screw holding on the blade tightens itself during use, making it extremely difficult to loosen by hand to get the blade off for cleaning. Even when disassembled as directed for cleaning this machine can be very difficult to get thoroughly clean, leaving lots of bits of meat caught in tiny crevices that can only be reached with a toothbrush or toothpick. Additionally, when I tipped the machine I discovered that juice had run down the curved side of the base and under the bottom panel, where the motor and electronics which are.If you buy this slicer I recommend using it to cut items of food that are no bigger than 3 inches in any direction, and clean it very promptly and thoroughly after each use.

In this price range - YES
Are there better slicers ? Sure at many times the price. I've sliced roughly 30 lbs of 5 to 10 pound blocks of cheese, which does require going slow . Smaller blocks of cheese or meat don't give it much trouble. It seems to have a toothed belt that slips if you go to fast but that's better better than ripping a plastic gear like the last one I had. Cleanup is also a breeze compared to the last one . Also the thickness guide stays where you put it. So if you want an inexpensive , small, lightweight, slicer for occasional use, this isn't a bad choice

Good for small slicing work.
I used it at Christmas. It seemed to do a pretty good job. It is not commercial grade, which I did not expect. It was a little difficult taking it apart to clean. I wished it was easier to get in between everything to clean really well.

Great for the price.
Worked great for 14 months. The slicer does not hold its thickness setting. If you push too hard on the meat, or whatever you are slicing, the thickness will increase dramatically. After 14 months the motor started smelling and seems to be going out.
