has a cell balancer on board also...
Took a chance on this to leave at work (chargers at both ends of my daily commute, saves weight on the bike!) I run a 1500w rear hub fast ebike...an electric mountain motorcycle really lol.. it eats up power cruising at 40mph on mountain roads. Seems like a decent, Chinese OEM style unit. Almost exactly the same as the one that came with my Hailong/Shark 13ah 48v battery (see photos). Interesting thing is that the paper instruction sheet mentions an onboard cell balancing step after the main charge! Anyone who is familiar with charging various types of batteries knows that this is an important feature...so, bonus! (my OEM charger may just have one too...)Just finished first charge on it, seems fine, worked properly, didn't get too hot.Deducted a star because it did not come with rubber feet underneath, but has the mounts for them (see pic). A minor quibble, but still...a lot easier for the Chinese factory to OEM source these during manufacture than it is for me to measure and track them down online! (I'll prolly just pop them off one of my eboard chargers heh...exactly the same two cases...with feet!) These feet are actually important for charging an ebike especially- awkard charging situations (like mine at work) where both cords must be extended to reach a plug and the bike, the feet keep the unit from sliding off a workbench onto your ride and then the concrete floor...or worse, yanking the delicate connector out first! So, good deal, and fast shipping too (Stateside, not China slowboat style)

Bad experience/sparking when inserting DC 2A plug with unit UNPLUGGED!
I have a 48v 12ah EBike battery. I always insert the plug into the battery first before plugging my charger into the wall. I've been unable to get a second charger from the company I bought my bike from so I decided to give this one a shot. On paper, it matches the one I already have. Plus this charger has UL and CE certification, so I figured it should be no problem. Wrong. BIG problem. As soon as I inserted the round DC plug into my battery I saw a spark. To reiterate, the charger was UNPLUGGED from the wall. And it still made a spark. I tried it 3 more times and each time it made a spark. I brought over my charger that came with the bike and looked closely as I inserted the DC plug into the battery -- no spark. The issue is with this charger. It's dangerous and I immediately initiated a return. Buyer definitely beware with this charger.

Does the job without drama
This charger fills up my bike's battery overnight, without the whining fans that the 4-amp charger which came with the battery has. Sure, it heats up a bit, but at least I can sleep in the same apartment. Yes, the case is not the sturdiest, and the light is a bit dimmer than it should be, and I had to add the rubber feet myself, but at the price of twenty bucks, who could complain? Oh, and it's always a good idea to connect the battery first, then plug into the wall, or you might be seeing sparks.

It works
Kind of took a leap of faith buying this instead of an OEM charger but it seems to work just fine on my izip battery. Seems to be a little smaller than my original charger and at 2 Amps instead of 2.2 but it all seems to work well and now I've got a cheap charger that works fine to keep at my office.

good replacement charger
needed a replacement charger for my scooter, gave this one a try, very pleased with it, I have a 48volt 10amp battery pack, this charger gets the job done, would buy it again

Worked on my e-bike
Used this charger to replace an OEM charger for my e-bike battery. Worked just fine. My only complaint is the indicator light is tiny and hard to see.

Can't complain works great with my g1

Something is wrong
Doesn't seem to work at all. The green light which should represent that it's fully charged, is on all the time, although the battery is depleted.
