Gets down to the skin for long, medium, or short coats
I was surprised that this silicone bath brush is so heavy and the bristles are so stiff. I wish it were lighter. I honestly expected softer bristles. But, the bristles get down through long thick coats to the skin, which of course is the purpose. Be more gentle when using with short coats. This brush if very effective at helping the shampoo get down to the skin. It also is very effective at removing loose hairs/fur. So if your dog is shedding, make sure to use a hair-catch in the tub drain so as not to clog the plumbing. This brush is simply amazing!I bathe my dog first with a hypoallergenic/baby shampoo to get most of the "dirt" off, using this brush gently to get the shampoo down to the skin. I thin the shampoo with water in a squirt bottle to help it reach the skin. Rinse thoroughly. Then I use a medicated shampoo. The brush ensures that the medication actually gets all the way down to the skin. This is the original reason why I bought it to begin with. And it does it well. I leave that on for a couple minutes and rinse very well. It's amazing how much hair/fur is in the tub and on the towel when the bath is over. She's stopped scratching completely now. She seems a lot more peaceful and that makes me happy.

A must for long haired dogs!
I have a husky/Alaskan malamute mix and he had a long thick coat! I was skeptical when buying a rubber brush. I assumed with his type of coat that it would only tangle and pull his hair...NOT the case. This thing is AMAZING! I use an old shampoo bottle to mix his dog shampoo and wanted then squirt that all of him and use the brush to spread the suds and really get down to his u set coat. It’s so much easier than trying to scrub with my hands and he loves it! It massages him well. I also use it after when I blow dry him . The brush really gathers all of his flakey left over hairs.I also have the furminator. I honestly think I like this brush better.

Great for Retrievers
This helps just brushing out my retriever and then I use another slicker brush to pick up more hair. Somehow this gets right to the skin and helps the brush I use pick up the the hair. Retrievers never stop shedding, we find it everywhere. I am always brushing my girl who is not quite 2 yet. At first she did not like this, but then she got so excited after using it on her tummy. It is soft and nice enough on her tummy and she just got fixed 2 months ago. It pulls up the hair and brings air down to her skin. After I use this then use my expensive slicker brush then she actually even smells better. I have yet to use it on her to bathe with it because it works so well for every day massage and brushing. This fits in my hand so well I use it in my left hand which my shoulder has a huge rotator cuff tear and I call it my physical therapy when I groom my dog. It does collect some hair too, but it is so easy to take off. I mainly use it to massage my dogs skin and to bring up the hair. My hand has no problem holding onto this and it has just enough weight to help me. Awesome product!

Wonderful
We have a standard poodle. I brush him daily. The day your bath brush came, I used that because it was close. He thinks it’s a massage brush and comes running when I hold it up. He even repositions so I don’t miss a spot!!! Soon I’ll have to try it for his bath😂

Andy loves it
Wow. I didn't expect this brush to be as sturdy as it is. VERY heavy-duty! We've had one bath with it. Andy has a skin condition & has to be bathed a lot, & I just didn't feel like my fingers were doing a good enough job. At first I was worried that it would be too much for him (he's kind of a big baby) but he loved how it felt. I basically just brushed the shampoo through & he just sat there enjoying it. I think it helped distribute the medication on his skin much better. Really glad I bought it. It will get a lot of use.

Great for washing Goldens!
My goldens are now receiving a much needed skin cleaning when they're bathed. For decades I have just been using my fingers and I know it has not done a good job of getting the shampoo down to the skin level where it can soothe the skin and do its cleansing work. My dogs thought it was odd the first time I used it, but now they sniff it and think bath time is "wet massage"!Using this on a double-coated dog like a Golden really loosens up the fur that is going to be shed off the dog anyway. I always rinse out tons of hair after each use. It's sturdy, but pliable. I'm quite pleased with the purchase.

Dog likes it
I introduced it gently (our dog is skittish) just by leaving it around where he could see it and smell it. After he got used to it I would brush him just 1 or 2 strokes while I was petting him and then let him smell it. Now he loves getting brushed with it even if he has not had a bath. The "bristles" are big, soft and gentle but the brush itself is heavy and he seems to like that combination very much.

My dogs love and my hands do too!
This brush is great while bathing your pet. I have two Aussies that have thick coats and this thing gets the soap through both coats of fur. Plus, I'm not having to dig my fingers into them to get down to all the dander and loose fur that needs to be brushed out. It also helps better distribute the soap evenly over their coat as you're bathing your pet. The non slip grip makes it easy to not lose ahold on this baby!
