Very light and strong but a little bit transparent.
They are very light and weigh in at less than 25 grammes each.These envelopes (H5 size) will hold an A4 size with about 20mm to spare all round.They have a tear-off glue strip which is extremely strong and impossible to open again without damaging the envelope once attached.The only negative is that they're a little bit transparent and I sometimes have to put some A4 paper inside to stop any valuable contents from being seen.Great value though instead of buying them in smaller amounts.

Tear resistant - bubblewrap liner - waterproof - lightweight - peel off seal.
Yesterday I bought 4 individual envelopes from the shop connected to my local post office that were identical to these H/5 ones. I paid £1.85 each. Having not bought envelopes for a long time, I was not sure what the current price was, although that did seem rather high to me at the time. When I got home I decided to look here on Amazon and was happy to find them.They are a very good price and they came neatly boxed. They are very lightweight making them perfect for posting items in. They arrived this morning and they are identical to the H/5 ones I bought yesterday.There are 50 envelopes in the box and the size of them are 38.2 x 35.6 x 30 cm. Ideal for posting items either 1st or 2nd class and my daughter was posting items of clothing to her friend, she managed to put a pair of jeans in one and a skirt in one of the other. The envelopes are self seal and the glue on the self seal is strong and held down well. They are also tear resistant, waterproof and have a bubblewrap liner.I highly recommend these envelopes and the size is great for many items such as books & clothing.

they are of poor quality. The seal area is all wrinkled
Had to buy these urgently as needed same day delivery, however, they are of poor quality. The seal area is all wrinkled, the bubble wrap inner part seems to be coming away from the outer packaging, and also the outer part is made of some sort of plastic, so awkward to write on. I also wanted to print my address on the back with an ink stamp. This never dried and so has smeared all over the envelope. I have spent hours longer packaging goods as have had to write all the front and back of the envelope by hand. Utter waste of money - don't bother with it.!!

Good envelopes but you cannot write directly on them as ink doesnt dry.
Good secure envelopes, however they are very shiny and anything you write directly onto them will not dry, no matter how long you leave them. Would only recommend if using with labels that stick on.

Plastic is difficult to write on so you'll need labels
Wasn't expecting them to be made from plastic rather than the usual paper but I didn't realise they were intended to be waterproof either, so that's my own fault for not reading the description.
