Quality is excellent, well balanced, feals natural in the hand. Well packaged you can tell they take pride in this weapon. Everything was tight as it should be. Came very sharp. Easily thrusts. I cant say enough good things about this sword. One of if not the best swords I've handled. I fell in love with it the moment I held it.

So I got my Windlass battlecry Maldon Viking sword. Unfortunately the pommel is so crooked I don’t want the sword. I was really looking forward to having this sword. Unfortunately it is garbage, the pommel is Soooooo of center and crooked, that the man in quality control should have his eyes checked. As soon as I wiggled the pommel to see why it was crooked it fell off. I bought 2 more cold steel swords and they got here faster. The quality was better. I was told to buy windlass if I want something better than cold steel. My mistake for trusting in windlass, sucks because the sword is peened, well ballanced, and I really wanted it to be well made, but it’s crooked as hell. I would like my money back or store credit.

This is a fantastic sword, Absolutely awesome for the price. I’d give it 5 stars but it’s not an Albion or something so I’d rather not be misleading.

Windless did a fantastic job with this sword! It truly has the feel and rustic appearance of a weapon used in Viking times. It arrived very well packaged. The sword and scabbard were individually wrapped up tight. The blade was well oiled or waxed and sealed in plastic. The leather grip looks awesome and is very comfortable to hold on to. It is a light and well balanced weapon to use! It even comes with a removable frog that slides on and off of the scabbard. The blade came sharp. I was easily able to cut a water bottle in half on my first attempt! If you are looking for a true functional viking sword, look no further. This is a must for your collection!

I received a similar looking sword but it was not from windlass, it was made from cheaper materials, the pommel was not peened, the sword was heavier and there was no certificate of authenticity

Sword arrived today and it was very well packed. The sword itself feels a little heavy in hand at first but after you get use to it, it’s not to bad. Overall construction of the sword and scabbard feels amazing. It’s not razor sharp out of the box but something with that kind of weight behind it doesn’t really need to be. I picked up the matching seax a while back and they make an amazingly aesthetic and functional combo. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a functional Viking sword.

It is an amazing sword.Steel is good.Leather wraps go all the way around the handle and up under the pommel, unlike the battlecry seax I got. Buy some black tactical rubber bands, just in case.

This is a real Viking sword.... Perhaps the perfect replica ... It's now the prize of my possession of my collection.
