Extremely effective, chemical free. A must have in households with pets.
This stuff is kind of a miracle. One of our cats was having some issues and peeing around the basement. I tried a few methods of cleaning but nothing seemed to really get the smell. Cat urine is some powerful stuff... My vet recommended Anti-Icky Poo and I can't thank her enough. It's extremely easy to use (you literally just pour it on the stain and let the enzymes do their work) and you get a big bottle that lasts a long time depending on how much you need to clean. I've poured it in the toilet to get rid of smells, mixed some into the mop bucket while cleaning, and poured it in my kitchen drains and it worked like a charm in every instance. It also gets a million extra points from me because it's not going to poison any of us and doesn't have that overwhelming chemical smell that so many cleaning products do.

Dumb name, rockstar results
When my cat gets anxious or stressed, he expresses that by urinating outside of the litter box. In the past, he had only ever targeted bath mats, which then always had to be put up over the tub whenever not in use. About two and a half weeks into a particularly difficult and prolonged moving process, I discovered he had been peeing all over multiple piles of clothing and towels (which hadn't yet been sorted through), something he had never done before. The urine unfortunately wasn't contained by the piles and had seeped down into the carpet, which had just been put in brand new. In the chaos I had failed to notice it immediately, so it was going to be an uphill battle. To get the urine out of the laundry, I threw everything in the washer, and boosted my regular detergent by alternating between using Kids N' Pets from Home Depot, plain old borax, and OxyClean. After multiple cycles, this rotating combination finally saved everything except a couple of items (that were thankfully expendable). The carpet, though, was a different story, because by that point it had been repeatedly soaked and dried with urine all the way down to the padding. The Kids N' Pets did absolutely nothing, which was surprising, given it had been effective in the wash and I have used it successfully on hard surfaces. I went to the local pet store for some Nature's Miracle (the supposed "gold standard") enzymatic cleaner for cats. Although it took care of the little one-timey spots, it barely made a dent in the area where he had peed the most, even after two rounds of treatment. With the cost of each gallon of failed product mounting, I took to the internet for a better solution and found a universal recommendation for this brand everywhere I looked. I was dubious because the name was... well... pretty dumb, and not exactly confidence inspiring. Who would ever expect to be taken seriously if they brand themselves after a baby-talk term? But, good word of mouth is usually there for a reason, so I gave it a shot. Unlike the other two, this one didn't recommend blotting after application, which may or may not be an important difference in technique. I applied the Anti-Icky-Poo liberally (I still can't even type that without cringing), stomped it in, and let the enzymes get to work. A few days later, I checked the carpet very thoroughly, and then the clouds parted and the sun shined down for the urine stench was gone. I'm talking, I put my face right on top of each spot and inhaled deeply. Not a whiff of cat pee anywhere. As they say, don't judge a book by its cover. I'm pretty much just going to dump everything else down the drain, because this product is absolutely legit and it will definitely now be kept in the house at all times. Kids N' Pets is cheap, but I apparently got what I paid for. The more I've experienced with Nature's Miracle over the years, the less impressed with their pet lines I've become. Anti-Icky-Poo (ugh) is priced comparably, and is in fact a few dollars less. Most importantly, it got the job done after the previous two had failed, and it provides far more value as something that accomplishes what I need the first go round. I just wish it had a different name.

Saved my husband's leather jacket, whew!
I have a cat nicknamed "Mister Piddle" and you can imagine why. Some things, like bed pillows (sad, but true) we never tried to rescue. But this stuff works. My husband has a $500 leather sport coat that got "blessed" by Mr. Piddle. We did the unthinkable, put the coat into the bathroom sink and saturated the coat with about a whole jug of this stuff, then into a trash bag it went. Hubby put the bag on the back porch and forgot about it. I nagged him to take it to the cleaners. When he finally did, he had just missed the leather cleaner pickup, with the next pickup in two weeks. This coat ended up soaking in this stuff for literally weeks. I figured it was ruined and covered in mold. Well, it came back from the leather cleaners in perfect condition! I have rescued many things from Death's doors with Anti Icky Poo and think it is the greatest thing for getting rid of cat urine odors!

The only thing that works on outdoor concrete
We have an all-concrete back yard and two dogs, so after a month or two, their favorite areas (where they like to pee) start stinking pretty bad. We tried everything from simple green to white vinegar and even chlorine-based surfactants and nothing really made a difference in the awful smell. After reading dozens of articles, we came across one that recommended using anti-icky poo and a vapor barrier overnight, and while this stuff isn’t cheap, neither is 4-mil vapor barrier to cover every square foot of concrete yard, we figured we might as well try it seeing that nothing else had worked so far. Here’s what we did:1. Pressure washed the concrete2. Diluted anti-icky-poo with water 1:1 since the concrete was wet (mfr recommends max water:product ratio of 2:1 for concrete)3. Splashed it all over the concrete and used a deck brush to get even coverage while lightly misting over it with the pressure washer so make sure it didn’t evaporate4. Immediately covered the entire yard with 4mil translucent plastic sheet (we used HDX brand that comes in 100-ft rolls that fold out to 10-ft wide, the box is surprisingly small for 1000SF) and weighted the corners and edges with bricks and gallon bottles filled with water5. Left it overnight, peeled off the sheets in the morning and to our pleasant surprise, we were greeted with a faint minty scent and absolutely not a hint of urine. The concrete was still wet/damp.I recommend starting this process in the evening to minimize evaporation while the concrete is uncovered. We still spot-spray with a squirt bottle (2:1 dilution) regularly and only do the full overnight treatment once a year or so because it’s pretty expensive stuff (we used 1.5 to 2 gallons for roughly 500SF of concrete) but we’re really pleased with the results. We’re thinking about trying other brands of enzymatic cleaners that are up to 30% cheaper, but haven’t yet because this stuff is so darn effective.

Great product!
My cat had urinated on my new couch a couple of times. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the smell out. This was my last resort. If it didn't work I was going to have to throw it out. I applied it once and soaked my couch. The smell was still there but very faint. I applied it a second time and really soaked it into the cushions. After completely drying, there is no smell at all! Great product and I highly recommend it.
