A first time user of what appears to be an excellent product!
Used this for the first time and the task involved refurbishing four 8 inch square posts to my garden gazebo. The posts of green oak had blackened as is natural with this wood with moisture oxidising with the tannin in the wood. They looked rather austere! After following instructions to sand off the blackened surface, coat with wood preservative I then gave the posts two coats of Osmo UV Protection and now the wood has returned to its original warm, mellow, rich colour. I will monitor for any discolouration but I have to say the product, although free flowing, has covered the wood in a quite dense coating, without significant change of colour or tone. The relatively small tin at a significant cost is more than offset by its coverage - it goes far! So far I’m impressed.

This is still working a year later after a very sunny summer
Bought this to protect a newly erected red cedar slatted garden fence.The fence was expensive to construct so I wanted to give good protection.This stuff isn't cheap but it works very well, and its price is small compared to the fence cost.The colour of the wood is almost as new despite a very sunny summer last year.Very happy!

Excellent quality and easy to use
This is the best water repellent I have ever used on my garden bench. I would use this again and thoroughly recommend it. I used it on a bare teak bench and it brought it out in a lovely golden colour and showed off all the grain of the natural wood

Preparation is the most important point when using this product
I used this product on an outside oak balcony as I wanted to keep the original colour of the wood, previous coatings applied by the builders washed off in the heavy rains, but I stripped off the old varnish, sandpapered the wood back to it's base and applied two coats as mentioned on the can.This has worked great and so far it has been on for two months and has endured rain for most of that period and still looks as if i applied it yesterday. Great product worth paying extra for.

Nice hard wearing matt finish
I have used this product several times - both the interior and exterior oil. I use the interior matt clear for my kitchen worktops, it is very hard wearing and has a nice matt finish and is easy to apply.

Highly recommend
As a well known advert says “ does exactly what it says on the tin” however did need a second tin as didn’t cover as much as it said. Woodwork looks 👍 great
