Versatile, Easy to Use, and a Huge Time Saver
The Instant Pot Rio has completely transformed the way I cook, it’s fast, efficient, and incredibly versatile. I’ve used it for everything from rice and soups to tender roasts, and the results are always perfect. The control panel is simple to navigate, even for beginners, and cleanup is quick thanks to the non-stick inner pot. I also appreciate the updated design, which looks sleek and feels sturdy. If you’re looking to save time in the kitchen without sacrificing flavor, this Instant Pot is an excellent investment!

Muy contenta con mi Instant Pot, solo una observación, en la descripción visual de la olla, venía de color negro y me llegó sal marina. También venían fotos de más implementos y sólo llegó una rejilla.

I have a small mini 1.6litrepressure cooker which I love. However the same brand bigger size cooker cant cook beans as well. I have to cook at least 3 times each time i prep a batch Decided to try this instant pot. It manage to cook all 1 batch at one-go which is half pot of soaked beans and grains. The result is superb! No beans are left undercooked. Totally impressed. I need to reduce water and time for next batch as the instant pot is way more powerful! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good pressure cooker.

My first Instant Pot was a 3Qt IP Mini that I got from the UK years ago, back when Instant Pots weren’t sold in SG. Later, the 6Qt IP Duo appeared locally, and by 2024 the 6Qt IP Rio and 8Qt IP Duo Crisp were also available. I used the stainless steel Mini primarily as a replacement for my nonstick rice cooker and microwave. It worked well, but its small size meant it couldn’t accommodate stacked layers for steaming, so I still used other appliances for steaming and stir-frying. Eventually, I donated it to charity and purchased a Panas**** brand countertop steam oven that could steam and bake. It had various functions, but it was inconvenient to use only one cooking method at a time, and the internal steam tubes couldn’t be washed. When that oven didn’t quite work well after a few years, I decided to return to a pressure cooker. I chose Instant Pot again over other brands because of its stainless steel pot, the huge library of tried-and-tested recipes on YouTube and in books (and NLB’s ebooks), and the cleaner look of the Rio model. I also find that having an air fryer on the side makes a great combo. Owning two Instant Pots turned out to be more practical than buying an extra inner pot during a recent Amazon sale at amazing prices, since it allows multiple types of cooking to happen concurrently. I’ve been trying out the Instant Pot lately, and here’s what I think about it… - Stainless steel inner pot - PIP (pot-in-pot) is great for small meals - Automatically cooks without fuss (yea for busy people) - Saute function has a preheat stage - 6Qt IP can stack two to three stainless steel bowls for steaming or reheating more dishes - Quicker and more evenly cooking of rice, barley, oats, potatoes, root vegetables and meats - Perfect for tender meats, stew and soup - Helpful for freezer-meal prep - Sautes and simmers in one pot (time-saving, fewer dishes to clean) - Supports sautéing, stir-frying, steaming, slow-cooking, yogurt making, etc. - Easy eggs and rice (directly or PIP) - Stainless steel pot washes easily - Keep-warm function and a timer display - Reduce more cooking time if using premixed soup spices for vegetarian and meat dishes Some downsides are the limited model options in SG (inevitable) and the poorer quality of the paint-coated areas on the main pot. The old IP Mini had better paint coating, likely because it was made before Instant Pot merged with Corelle Brands. And of course, the total cooking time should always include the pressure-building time and the NPR time.

The text on the panel is too unclear. I have to deduct one star for that.
