Appears well built with an aluminum shaft and screws (instead of rivets) securing it to the composite handle adapter. It does come with a rubber sheath to use for smaller outboard tiller handles but I didn't need it for my Mercury 6HP...fit nice and tight. I like the opening in the adapter to allow the use of the kill button in the tiller handle even with the extension installed. My only gripe is the grip, hard, thin, and smooth. I replaced it with my kids BMX grip which is thicker and has better texture that is needed in wet conditions.

This is a light duty tiller not suited for anything more than 6-8hp in my opinion.

Adapted perfectly to my Tohatsu outboard. Solid fit and feel. Just can’t ask for more product for the $$$. Recommend to anyone looking for a tiller extension for smaller outboards / boats. No hassle delivery as well - thanks Brocraft!!!

Does not work on a Yam 25 4 stroke. No control while underway at planning speed.

Works good but does have a little bit of flex in the plastic. Grip is not great when hands are wet. Not as much of an upgrade as I had hoped from the one I had.

Easy to install but tends to slip off unless the handle is tightened very firmly. Once that is done it was fine.

I bought this for my Mercury 2.5hp motor I have on my Walker Bay 310 dinghy. Walker Bay recommends sitting midship & using a tiller extension when cruising solo, so this was a must have. I shopped around and found this to be the least expensive option as well as great quality! I am very happy with this purchase. For the other reviews saying it isn't the best grip in wet conditions I plan on using hockey tape/grip tape on the handle if I find the same thing happening. Mind you I am only using it for 2.5hp not 30-40hp. Overall though you can't beat the price and quality! It is a tight but perfect fit.

It’s a bit short for what I needed. But it’s pretty sturdy and welll built. It fit my 25 hp Johnson and my my hp 4 stroke Yamaha.

You can remove the inner rubber liner to fit most outboard tiller handles mine fits a newer 9.9 johnson tiller handle no problem and can adjust easily, its a good piece for the price
