Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English DVD-ROM (disk only) 1st Edition

I loved this dvd.The contents of the dictionary is excellent.It`s helped me a lot in my studies.I recommend you buy.

I switched my PC from WINDOWS XP to I mac. As I installed this LDCE in my WINDOWS, I tried to install this DVD after I bought it from Amazon. But I couldn't. I don't know the cause of this trouble, but the fact is that I could not install it into my I mac. Even though I checked the Internet and asked APPLE how to do it, still it is next to my new PC and I thought I lost 20 dollars.  Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, Fifth Edition (Paperback + DVD-ROM)

If you use a PC all the time, it is very useful to study English and it works well from XP ~ Win8.1. Disappointing one is it doesn't provide online update function. So you should patch it manually.

I have received the Longman Dictionary on time as I needed, but Unfortunately the DVD doesn't work, because it's has old program system

The dictionary (DVD version) is very very very very good. It is thorough, user friendly, and easy to use. I really enjoy using collocation part and both British and American accents.However, it is not compatible with 64 bit Linux systems. (I have not checked it in 64 bit windows systems)

Ich habe lange Zeit mit dem Longman Dictionary bzw. Language Activator in Buchform gearbeitet. Die Software, die sich übrigens auf meinem Windows 7 Rechner völlig problemlos installieren ließ und einwandfrei arbeitet, ist super: Neben der Dictionary Funktion gibt es den Language Activator, viele Querverweise und Trainingsmöglichkeiten. Für meine Zwecke (englische Texte schreiben und dabei etwas lernen) ist die Software perfekt.

Complemento del Longman Active Study Disctionary, comunque strumento utilissimo da usare con il proprio PC, quindi sempre a portata di mano, anche per una consultazione, inoltre presenta molte applicazioni che vanno dalla fonetica delle parole ad esercizi che aiutano a controllare la propria preparazione, interessante per studenti alle prime armi ed anche a chi, come me, ha studiato moltissimi anni fa l'inglese e vorrebbe rinfrescarlo..!

この辞書はずっと以前から使っています。とくにオンラインで表示されるウインドウズ版は非常に便利です。辞書の意味、それから用例が Other dictionary examples と Examples from the corpus で表示されるのが有益です。英文を書く場合にこの意味と用例が欠かせません。実はこの辞書を前に購入していたのですが、パソコンを新しくしたときにCD−ROM をなくしてしまい、困っていました。Amazon で disk only というのを見つけて、救われました。

Ha moltiissime definizioni ed esempi e addirittura quiz per esercitarsi.Il dizionario è accompagnato per alcune voci da semplici immagini, che non "pesano" sul programma stesso.Consigliato vivamente, oltre agli studenti avanzati, anche a chi conosce già l'inglese.
