By the Light of the Halloween Moon

Had this book for my daughter when she was little and just purchased it for my two grandkids 2 & 5.Great fun rhyming store with cute vibrant pictures and nice quality pages. Definitely recommend.

Love the story. But why doesn’t Amazon Publishing know how to glue a book?It’s just sad when a child is reading a new book and it’s literally falling apart in their hands.It’s glue.The technology is there. 🙄

I purchased a used copy of the book and read it to a couple of my grandchildren who I live with. This was an instant hit, especially for my 4 year of granddaughter who doesn't like scary things. The text has a delightful rhythm to it and after a couple reads, my granddaughter was saying, "By the light, by the light, by the Silvery light of the Halloween moon." The illustrations are darling with interesting objects to look for, such as the ghoul's sandwich with a bite taken out of it, and the crab clinging onto the Williwaw Ghost. I purchased additional copies for my other grandkids.

My toddler loves this book so much, we read it every night. She has parts of it memorized and reads along with me. Really great rhythm to the book.

My kids still "sing" the words to this book and they are tweens and teens. Pictures are delightful. One of our family's favorite books!

This book is part of my childhood. My grandma would always read it to me and my siblings back in the 90s. I lost her 11 years ago, but Halloween is still near and dear to me. I bought this book so that I could revisit those memories.The book is just as good as I remember. The book was in great shape, the pictures vibrant. The text is easy enough for a child to hold interest.

The book was slightly bent upon arriving. Fine other than that.

We really enjoyed this story. My four year old loves Halloween and he loved the story and all of the spooky characters who are trying, without much luck, to pinch a tapping toe on Halloween night. Such beautiful illustrations, our favourite was the ghost of the old sea dog pirate.

Brilliant picture book with a well written verse that grows longer page by page. We bought it after reading the reviews, perhaps you might too.Mr M

I was disappointed by this book. It was not what I was expecting. I like the rhyming and the artistry is good. I have difficulty with the painting of witches as depicted in this book. I also felt a little strange about all these characters in the book after her toe. The little girls response is to smack them. Great for empowerment but not so good for teaching how to deal with things in a non violent way. But heh, these are fictional characters...except the witch. Too many mixed messages in this story for me.
