Water Gear Hydro Buoys

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these. Oh, and did I happen to mention that I love these? Had them for several months now, using them faithfully in the pool, and while I have been working with them, I've noticed some of my mobility returning, some toning happening in my arms and chest, and even a diminishing of my constant pain from osteoarthritis. If you're hesitating to order these, DON'T. It was tough as hell using them that first couple of weeks, but now it's a measure of the increase in my strength and stamina, that using these for me now is like using water bells that only have about 20% resistance instead of 80! Best investment I ever made.

These are the perfect weight for a beginner. Be careful though as water collects inside, found this out the hard way when I got all wet taking them out of the trunk.

Perfect for my wife. She tried to use mine (60%) resistance but was discouraged because the water aerobics were too difficult for her. She loves this product and works out more often. She get enough resistance for a good work-out, but not too much where it gets unpleasant. The photo is deceptive. I ordered this because the photo makes it look more resistant than the heavy duty buoys I use at the Y (three foam layers instead of two). However, the layers are half the size of normal resistance dumbells, making it less resistant than the many of the lower-resistance buoys at the Y.

The picture is miss leading!! I have a pair that only have two disk per side that are twist as big, and make these look like something for a KID should be using not a grown up!! Mine are two, too three times as big as these tiny little things!!!!! I was very disappointed!!!!!!

These were the first water resistant items I have purchased. They were much larger than I thought they would be. I wasn't sure what 60% resistance felt like, so I decided to give them a try. They work OK, but I feel I need more resistance. I'm 53 and work out several times a week, but I think they will help me keep toned.

This set provides more resistance than the light ones at the pool that I use. So far, there has been no wear and tear. They have helped with my recuperation from my broken elbow operation.
