If you don't mind too much about correct angles
Different sizes of knives - different angles you will get. Even for standard Shef Knife blade - measured angle set was obtained 14 degr. For whom don't mind too much about correct angles of sharpenning.

Not as simple as it seems
Seems really simple but with a bigger knife the guide doesn't sit flush to the stone so the angle is wrong. Still worth it if you're not confident freehand. Worth measuring the actual angle it's sitting at and not relying on the angle they say.

Good value and does the job
I wasn't sure about getting these, as I was concerned that the white guide strip would be ground down by the stone. This had been mentioned in some reviews I'd read, however, I was pleasantly surprised, the white guide strip was in fact a hard ceramic material. I've now used the guides and successfully sharpened 3 knives so far, with great results, and it seems that the strip is completely unaffected. I'm using a pretty cheap stone, 1000/6000, so I guess that the make etc. could be a factor, I don't know, but they work for me and I would definitely recommend these, particularly for beginners like myself.

Good idea but implementation is terrible.
Tried sharpening knives on a whetstone before and messed up one of my knives. So didn't use the stone again. These things are a good idea but in practice they're absolutely awful. If you've got knives which blades are curved to a pointy tip then these things just won't work as part of the blade won't contact the whetstone unless you slide the clip off at an angle, which just causes the clip to scratch the whetstone and make a spine chilling scratch, like nails down a chalkboard. Also, I'm pretty sure you're not getting an even sharpen on the entire blade.Maybe I'm being stupid but I can't see how I can get an even angle on any of my knives which have a curved blade - there's no instructions on how this is achieved. If the blades on all your knives are straight then this would probably work well but if your knives are pointy then you'll see what I mean when you use it. You would only be sharpening the straight part of the blade and you'll mess up from where it curves to the tip.Instead, I got an idea of the angle I needed to sharpen with the clips on, I removed them then sharpened without the clips at that angle and managed to do it fine - I must have been using too shallow an angle previously. My recommendation - don't use these, just learn the appropriate angle and technique yourself.

Works great! Loving this little attachment
I'm surprised I didn't invest in one of these sooner. Used it on multiple knives, including of course my two chef's knives, a pairing knife, and even my pocket knife (a bit difficult with such a small blade but achieved some decent results). All of my kitchen knives are now ridiculously a lot sharper than they've ever been. Some say it damaged their knives but I really don't see how. Slip it on through the tip of the knife while holding it by the spine and you're good to go. Not a single mark was left when I was done. I only wish that it came with two of different angles instead of two 10-degree guides but I suppose it's not a bad idea to have a backup or a spare to give away to a friend. For $10 I'm happy. If the seller offers this in different angles so I can sharpen my Japanese blades I'd definitely place another order.
