However, for the small price difference between the single model (touring or race) and this set, why not get both types plus a carrying case? If you unexpectedly take on a passenger, you’ll at least have a pair to offer — it’s better than them going deaf. These things are pretty easy to clean and disinfect afterward so they’ll be ready for the next unexpected passenger or for you to use if you lose one of the other ones.
