It’s okay
It sits awkward on the strings will wobble left and right and weirdly clamps the bridge but the muted sound still rings nicely. Dampened volume but not too muted. Don’t know if this is good or not though.

Very good value. Daughter reports that it works well. Daughter has been playing the violin for 6 years but only asked to get this recently. I could not hear her practicing upstairs when she used the mute. I wish i had known about this years ago. I'm sure my neighbours also wish we had known about them years aho too! Would recommend.
