Cats are my favorite. Mysterious, playful, loving, mischievous, esoteric, and never, ever boring. And Simon's artwork and sense of humor follows the same path. He captures cats and their world so completely. Study each of his works, not just for the immediate story but for the details and reality. The bugs munching on the leaves, the beehive on the corner of the house, the reflections of the neighborhood in the windows, the mud on the garden pottery, the clutter inside the house. These and so much more make Simon's work so interesting and lifelike. I study each page as if I'm in an art museum. And with a smile on my face, of course.

Delightful book for adults or kids. The adventures of Simon's stubborn, mischievous, creative and perpetually hungry cat are hilariously rendered and will give anybody a chuckle. The book includes some art lessons on how to draw some of Simon Tofield's cute characters and a sheet of stickers depicting several of them. Anyone who has ever had a cat or dog or has watched the antics of wild animals and birds in their own yard will relate to the scenarios in the cartoon panels. The illustrations are lovely -- I think I will buy one of the Simon's Cat calendars just so I can frame a couple of them. These cartoons never fail to make me smile and I have bought copies as gifts for several friends and family members.

Fun read and great drawings. I love Simon’s cat. Cats, dogs, hedgehogs, birds and rabbits and probably some more I left out. Simon’s cat coping with the everyday world.

This was a gift for a friend. It is a lovely book.

We bought this for a friend who had major surgery - and needed some cheering up. They also happen to be a cat person; so, the book was quite a hit. The book not only featured the cat, but other animals as well: hedgehogs, etc.The book arrived unwrapped, so of course, we peeked inside. We started laughing right away (and we are dog people) - this artist has a great sense of humor. We were pleasantly surprised to see that there were also some pages toward the back of the book that showed how to draw the characters. Brilliant idea!This book is either for adults or children - a great purchase either way.

I love love love this book. I got mine and then ordered one for a friend, who loves it also.The artwork is great, the colors are beautiful, the little creatures are so funny, and every pet owner (not just cats) can relate to these situations.Part of its charm is that this book is so very very British. I love Simon Tofield. His work with cat rescue folks is wonderful. He is a national treasure, and I'm an American, so by that I mean national in all countries.I zen on these little drawings at the end of a hard stressful day.

I bought this book for my wife for a special occasion and honestly, I couldn't wait to read it myself.We've both been fans of the YouTube animated shorts and were excited to see that the creator produced a book. I purchased it and enjoyed every page.It's a great read for all ages and the illustrations Mr. Tofield made are spectacular.The story is simple, cute and will leave you smiling.If you like the book, watch the videos.If you like the videos, read this book.You'll be glad you did.
