The last great early MC album.
The last of the great early era Michael Chapman album. If you're only a causal fan of MC, then then this is a good place to end your album collection.

escape from ignorance
First of all, you must ignore the "editorial review"---Michael Chapman was NEVER in the band Family. That would be Roger Chapman. This Chapman is one of the great songwriter/guitarists of the '70's, a soloist also known for his collaborations with (Steeleye Span bassist) Rick Kemp. Chapman released a brace of exquisite albums between '69 and '79. After that the quality became a bit less consistent. IMHO Firewater Dreams (1973) was among the very best of his releases of the '70's. They've all been re-released and (mostly) remastered. For many years I considered myself to be a connosseur of '60's and '70's British fingerstyle guitarists, and yet Chapman hadn't come up on my radar screen; when he finally did I was really thrown back on my heels, as he is incredibly creative, possessing a singularly original talent- he deserves recognition in the first rank alongside the Bert Jansches Nick Drakes and John Martyns !
