Reviews from morons suggesting playing cards work as well, have never used these properly. I've had them in my shop for over 20 years, AND THEY WORK PERFECTLY AS DESCRIBED!!!! The only reason I bought this set is because mine were bought when the largest tires put on cars were 16". Now that manufacturers are going 20+" I needed these larger size one. So, forget those negative comments from cheapskates that don't know a good product when they see one!

I have painted several sets of wheels, but I always had to take them off the vehicle and apply 6-8 light coats to make them perfect and spend a lot of time using flash cards or tape to avoid overspray on the tires. I thought this product would help me avoid having to remove the wheels, but the metal bands are too heavy and thick to properly get a good grip on the rim. It just kept falling off after several tries. I wound up taking the wheels off anyway. Once laid down flat, this product did same time as I did not have to use flash bards or tape, but it was advertised as a solution for not having to take the wheels off. If this product were made of plastic or a lighter material, perhaps it would hand on to the rim more easily. I am always reluctant to give negative reviews, but have to so others know what they are buying.

I tried to ignore the negative feedback on this product n purchased them anyway, but I can't get them to stay on the rims...too heavy I think..

We could have made these in-house for about $4.00 worth of sheet metal. All they are is strips of sheet metal with flimsy plastic holders, that don't hold.

far too expensive for some strips of sheet metal. playing cards is how you paint/plastidip wheels. insert one between the rim edge and the tire then stack them around the lip until you reach where you started. Go to the dollar store for the cards...easy peasy

This is a expensive way to masking things badly. Playing cards will do the exact same thing for $5.
