I was yet another looking for a book to fill the hole left after completing the two Journal29 books (I'd recommend getting those books first) and although I have a few small issues with a few of the puzzles, the overall package is definitely worth it, enough for me to buy the sequel which I have yet to start. The narrative is light and predictable but ties everything together nicely and the discussion on the forum is generally useful for the times I needed extra hints or nudging in the right direction.Recommended book for those that enjoyed the concept of Journal29.

Nice art, but puzzle design, narrative, and quality control below par
I bought this having enjoyed Journal 29 and hoping for more of the same. Unfortunately, Trip 1907 fails to deliver - none of the puzzles are particularly innovative, many are derivative or based on common puzzle types from other similar books. I'm ok with the lack of originality, but the implementation is often not well-executed either... the book *requires* an internet connection to be able to play the game - making it impossible to play on a journey, for example. And some puzzles are just illogical... *SPOILER* why exactly would a bell toll a Morse code pattern?! *SPOILER*, which just strikes of lazy puzzle design. The art is great, and there's a narrative of sorts, though I didn't really follow or feel engaged with it.But the real killer for me was the poor copyediting. In a puzzle book, this is unforgiveable. "Oooh, that word is capitalised - is that a clue?" No, it's a mistake. "Wednesday has been spelled with two 'd's, so perhaps we need to double the middle letters?" No, it's another mistake, etc. Chasing false leads like these just left us feeling cheated, and we put the book down unfinished.

This book is good to excercise your brain
I thought I would find this book to hard as I had never done anything like it but I found most of the puzzles not to bad and some were hard but there is always places to get more hints. I am looking forward to buying the next one and having a go at it .lf you love solving puzzles of any sort buy this book it worth it.

Bought as gift, so can't really comment.
As far as I'm aware, it is fine. It was bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter's partner. It was purchased when she said that he'd like it. That, unfortunately, is all I can say.

Annoying
There is too much inconsistency. I loved journal 29 but this is not up to that standard. Some of the puzzles lack any sort of logic and it seems to rely on blundering in the dark to get an answer. It is also annoying that half the clue is in the online answer section, so you can't attempt later puzzles until you have solved the ones before. I am bored enough to think I won't bother to finish it.

Disappointed
After having tried journal 29 and loved it, we thought we would give this a go. Unfortunately, we haven't enjoyed it at all and it's been sitting unfinished for a few months. Quite a few of the puzzles make no sense (even when you know the answer) and are hard to follow.

Frustrating
There is lots to like, but too many of the puzzles are misleading, have typos, or just not clear. Some of the puzzles gives clues that aren’t even needed to solve the puzzle, which leaves the reader spending a frustrating amount of time of something that isn’t needed. There are also typos and sentences worded in a cryptic way - these aren’t clues, they are just poorly worded. All in all, the book doesn’t feel finished.
