Convicting. Inspiring. Encouraging.
For every person who grew up without a father, this book paints a beautiful picture of restoration in the heart and mind of a man that dared to overcome the mental and emotional torment that comes with growing up fatherless. The highlight of this book is in turning page after page and reading about the redeeming nature that his life as a father brings in the life of his children because he vowed to not repeat the cycle. This book reads like a movie, because words became images as he documented his consciousness about growing into a man. He made you aware of just how intentional he was in his choice to win the war that was raging in his fatherless soul. This same war that is rages in the souls of many. The author has done an amazing job at bringing the systemic issue of fatherlessness down to everyday moments of choosing to live as a man should, which is simply being fully aware of his responsibilities as a man and make the choice to accept those responsibilities. You are not a man until you can turn around and take care of that which you created and bears your name. The author is living this reality and issues the same charge for other men to do the same.Great read!

Great Read! Digs deep into the causes of fatherlessness in the black American community.
This book gave a confirmation of many of my thoughts on black fatherlessness, not only in America but all over the world.I gave this short read 5 stars because I'd like more persons to read it.

Excellent
Fund it about this book when Mr Epps was on Rappaports podcast. I'm so glad I did! I was a huge fan of his movie ,Juice, thats my generations classic. Mr Epps and I are the same age. My life, thanks to my parents prayers and God, turned out successful. Can't say the same for my crew. This book made me proud to be the father of 3, oldest 22 in the army, youngest 4. The book is very insightful and speaks the truth. As a Mexican American man, I know more than a few people who would benefit from this book. Thank you Mr Epps for funding this book by yourself! This book is absolutely necessary! God Bless you and your fam!!!

Honest look at father
I really liked this book it hit on points that I had buried. My father past away when I was a teenager so all I had were the few good memories of him but I took those memories and made myself believe I had a great father. But looking back on it he was around a lot he didn't come to my sports game where I was really good he didn't call me on birthdays he gave me his time when he felt he could so I have been determine not to be that for my children. I would recommend this book for fathers and mothers that need to look at the relationship with their kids parents a lil different

Very Nice Read, Thank You for Sharing YourStory
I read your book, and it was very honest, true and real. Men, don't understand the pain and heartbreak they cause, when they impregnate and leavers behind. Thank you for putting the spotlight on deadbeats!

This book will open your mind and heart to the woes of fatherhood. I realized that being there physically and not mentally is fatherless also. Thank you Omar, your book made me see differently. The renewing of your mind has resonated in my spirit. God Bless you..
