It handles demanding titles (think open-world, high-settings) without breaking a sweat. Amazing laptop with great specs / price. Cooling is so much better than my previous laptop it runs quieter to keep cool and lot have to ramp up the fans to annoyingly high levels to game. The OLED screen is beautiful and fast. Although I’ve mostly used it for some school work and plugged into the living room TV for games. It’s a bit wider than other 16” laptops so you I made sure to get a larger 17” laptop backpack to make sure it fit. It didn’t fit my older bag made for “up to 16””. Battery isn’t great, but I knew that with those specs it wouldn’t be. If you want great battery life get a Mac Pro or similar. It’s a bit better if run on the internal graphics and not doing demanding tasks. I recommend the legion 7 completely. It’s nice to have a key pad on the right. My last laptop HP omen didn’t have one and when you gotta punch in numbers it’s convenient. Most of the RGB can be turned off. All in all it’s great. :-)

Laptop is really beautiful and quite amazing with the amount of tech its got. Unfortunately after 2 weeks of light usage it stopped turning on. It would attempt to boot up and had a full charge as displayed by the LED but the screen would not start. I tried trouble shooting and nothing would get it to restart. I returned it, waiting on my refund and anticipate buying the same one again, hoping i just got a defective unit. Havent downloaded any games on it but it was super sharp and snappy. Praying the next one works, otherwise having a broken system for the price is not worth it. UPDATE 12/20/2025 I recieved the new one and its even worse than before. It worked well for about 2 days, then began with the boot up issues again. It turned on and arrived to the windows log in page then ramped ip fan speeds and turned off. Eventually the screen just stopped turning on and only the keyboard and power button would light up, no picture. I hate writing bad reviews and this really is a beautiful laptop, I truly wished it would work out but its a piece of garbage if it cant work properly out of the box on 2 units. Does not work right.

I ordered this laptop from US to EU, mostly due to ANSI keyboard. In EU, you can buy only ISO standard, which I am not a fan of. Laptop has really beautiful screen - OLED, I loved it from first sight. I checked cm by cm / inch by inch and there are no dead pixels, really good quality both screen and overall laptop - it has solid aluminum build. Application Legion Space allow you to control heat and fan - by changing mode. On balance / custom mode I found it's working really good, I have around 90 °C CPU, GPU is even lower. Some users complain about fan and heat - but they do not control mode. Speakers are really loud with good bas. Keyboard is really clicky and comfortable to type. Disadvantage of this laptop is battery - it's draining really fast, but you cannot have everything this is cost of this beautiful screen and for me it's far more important then battery.

Only been using for one week, but the experience so far has been great. Here's a few things I care about: Laptop Build (5/5). Keyboard is snappy and feels good to type or game on. Track pad is very precise and allows me to read, zoom-in, and traverse webpages very easily. Laptop has some good weight to it and won't move around on a slick surface. Screen has a robust pivot and will move exactly where you want it to and stay there. USBs are as advertised, but there is a physical switch to turn camera off which is really nice. All ports are on the left and right, and the power plug is not a circular power cord, rather a rectangular one which this laptop deserves. It's a good, solid connection, not going to slip out. Heat Tolerance (5/5). So far, I have had no problem running games on ultra settings. Neither the power brick nor the laptop itself has gotten too hot, just warm. The heat is dissipated behind the screen, pointed away, which is a great location for it. Noise level for maintaining good temperature is great, better than my prior laptop. Screen/Color Quality (5/5). The screen is beautiful and definitely bright enough. There is built-in color correction that is a game changer, and compared to previous laptops it is not even close. It's great to read or play games on, and there's lots of options. Gaming Quality (4.5/5). When just playing a game alone, it does great. I have played games on Ultra quality and the FPS doesn't drop below 240 Hz, which is the max refresh rate of the screen. There are certainly more powerful systems out there, but this one is excellent for a laptop. I sometimes will have many Youtube videos open, a discord call, etc., and it still keeps this performance. However, the graphics cards struggles slightly when in the GPU optimized for gaming. Animated GIFs in discord will sometimes glitch out when using this GPU. Additionally, when closing out a game, there is a lag spike that can takes a few seconds, which is the system switching out GPUs. These are minor things, but expect some annoyances. Outside of these instances, it has been perfect. Operating System and Software (3/5). The systems comes packaged with a bunch of bloatware, and Windows 11 shoves ads down your throat at every opportunity. However, I was able to uninstall all bloatware, and through a few hours of searching the internet, I was able to suppress all of Windows 11's ads. I was also able to remove Copilot, which is a must. I immediately went to install a new browser (Edge is still terrible), but the system seemed to keep on setting my default BACK to edge. It took 4 or 5 tries for it to stick. Clearly, MS doesn't want you making this change. The same is for the default search engine, which kept on going back to the default, when I wanted DuckDuckGO. I was also able to uninstall McAfee (also terrible) and put on Malwarebytes. It comes with a subscription, but you couldn't pay me to that software. Overall this is pretty standard procedure for any new Windows machine, but it stank a little more this time. Battery Performance (2/5). When the system is on battery, don't expect to play games. For reference, Bloons TD6 is too much, and it switches between normal speed and chugging along like a device from 5 generations ago. It clearly is not able to take it, nor optimized for it. You can do other things like watch videos or whatever for maybe a few hours. I highly recommend keeping this thing plugged in 100% of the time. Given that all the bloatware and Windows 11 annoyances were able to be fixed, and that battery performance isn't much of a factor for me, I still give this laptop a 5/5. It's a fantastic choice overall. It really feels like a medium performance desktop crammed into a laptop.

One strange issue I ran into is when I went to add a 2nd SSD drive - it wasn't recognized by the BIOS nor Windows. After doing some searching online, the fix was to swap the slots, switching the original SSD to the 2nd M.2 slot and the new to the 1st. You can then change the boot load order in BIOS. Build quality seems solid. The lid opens/closes without bouncing around due to stable hinges and the weight of the base which helps hold the laptop in place. A bit daunting at first to disassemble when upgrading/replacing battery, but it's not difficult. Be sure to have a quality set of assorted precision screwdrivers. The black chassis gets smudgy easily even with clean hands. Keyboard has nice tactile feel. Nice layout - not cramped or oddly arranged. The backlight is especially helpful. I'm not a huge fan of RGB, but the colors on this really pop. It looks very nice! Custom-configurable in software, too. The Lenovo pre-installed software is very helpful in checking for and installing driver updates, BIOS firmware, etc. It's not overly intrusive or gimmicky. McAfee software was not desired but it was simple to uninstall. Weight is not as bad as expected. I've owned prior gaming laptops, which were much clunkier. This fits nicely in a standard 16" laptop carry case and doesn't feel like a workout to transport. Performance is solid. I leave mine on 'balanced' and opt not to push the wattages/temps. It handles like a champ. Have only used it for about a month now and will update this if issues arise. Recommended.

Very fast computer, faster in fact than some gaming laptops. (I did some informal benchmarks). The screen is great. Much better than my eyes. It has no issue doing 3d design or playing complicated games at best graphic settings. One thing I wasn't expecting was its ability to handle audio signals. It sounds good (through headphones). It doesn't have an SD slot and I don't like the feel of the keyboard. (I'm picky about keyboards, this one feels like it junk). I added a second SSD without issue. Battery life is a joke. I tried to use it unplugged while delivering an hour long power point presentation and it didn't last 45 minutes. Heat is reasonable for this kind of unit and well handled.
