Kindle trade off
There used to be an exchange program available until 2018 which used to allow a trade off of an existing Kindle with a new one with some value exchange. I fully agree with Mr. Revankar's review. It also helps us make our planet greener rather than discarding these devices as scrap or obsolete.

Exchange not available
Amazon should offer exchange benefits. Its not like your devices are very low cost.What is one supposed to do with an old model, if they plan to upgrade to a new one.Does amazon not trust its device quality and right after sales they are considered equivalent to scrap/junk?

Worthy upgrade
Upgraded my 2016 kindle to 12th gen. Fortunately bought this from Dubai for 11.5k . Worth the money

Does not fare well in price to product ratio
The Warranty of any Amazon Kindle is just 1 year. If problem starts after the said time their copartner (the one who is supposed to repair beyond warranty as a paid service) would state it is beyond economical repair/spare parts not available. I have gone through this/ had a personal experience for my Kindle. 17K investment is for 1 year only. So think wisely before you invest in Kindle.

Very Pricey for its worth.
Price is way too high than its value. Not worth the upgrade. They are offering limited 1 year warranty which is sad. Ideal price should be lower or same as US if they want to sell to Indian readers. Good discount to US price can boost Indian e-Reader community.

Avoid. Issues will come for sure
Incredibly bad quality devices. Only a one year warranty. Ghost touch issue on my device in just 15 months of use. A completely pathetic quality & even worse repair options with their official partner. Buy only if you want to throw money. Completely disappointed with amazon for this

Disappointing release, please do better
The 12th gen kindles were released in the US on Oct 16 2024. After 6+ months of waiting, only one basic but overpriced kindle has been released in India. A main focus of the new kindles was also the color screen option, which has also not been released after all this wait. Extremely disappointed with Amazon India's kindle releases for the lack of options which are otherwise provided in other markets and overpriced tag for this range.

Overpriced? Checked. HDFC Offer not applying? Checked. Unclear Warranty Policy? Checked.Really what happens to the Kindle if it develops a screen issue after 1 year? Who will replace it with valueback? Please provide this clarity before selling in India
