Acrylic Sealer for Concrete & Cement Crafts – Low Gloss, Non-Toxic, Water Resistant, Food Safe – Compatible with Jesmonite – 16 oz (48oz)

I used this as a sealant for wooden candel vessals. This is the only heat resistant sealer that is safe and non toxic. For the inside of a candle vessal it has to meet certain criteria and this does it all! Love that it works on multiple surfaces for a clear finish.

I have purchased this 3 times so far. While it is expensive for the amount you get, it does work. It provides a lovely gloss finish. I use it to coat the inside and outside of my cement candle vessels. I apply four coats to the inside and outside of the jar, and one coat to the very bottom. I was able to coat 100 candle jars this way with one bottle, using a round foam brush I purchased from a local big box craft store. I use the Boowan Nicole 9oz mold and the Modern Craft Labs tulip mold. I have not had any issues with the wax leaking through.

When I purchased this sealer, it stated that it worked on all porous cement or concrete. So I purchased it for my Hydrostone cement crafts. I did find a method that kind of worked. But the customer service from Sienna Studios was not helpful. Since then they removed that statement from the ad. Still really misleading. Don't buy this for any sort of Gypsum cement.

I use this product to seal my porcelain products. It is easy to use. It cleans up with water. It is fast drying. Best of all, it is food safe once it dries. I love this stuff!

I make cement candles, trays and home decor. This stuff is nothing short of amazing! I have tried other brands, they are costly as well. You definitely get what you pay for. I will be buying again and again!! Thank you!!

I really like this but it is way way too expensive for this small amount. It doesn't smell and after coating it 3 times, it seems to be sealed well. I bought this because it says candle safe. I use this on concrete vessels. It goes on the same as another brand I was using that I paid a forth of what I paid for this. This other brand doesn't Say for candle vessels but I think it would probably be same.

It is very easy to work with; while it has a semi-matte finish initially, applying additional coats will create a glossy effect.

We applied this sealer to a plaster product in 4 full coats, strictly following all the manufacturer’s recommendations. After letting it dry completely (over 24 hours), we tested for water resistance. We poured water into the item, and within 15–20 minutes, it had absorbed over 100 ml, soaking through and visibly darkening the plaster. This completely ruined our entire batch of handmade items. Time, effort, and materials were wasted. If you're looking for actual water resistance — this is not the product. Very disappointing and absolutely not recommended.

For the price you don't get much, however it works well and it sealed my hydrostone candle jars perfectly with 3 coats. I used the dipping method and it has proven to be waterproof and wax hasn't seeped through after burning a candle, so I'm happy with the product. I just wish it were possible to buy it in bigger containers or the prices wasn't so high
