I haven't had any problems with this product. Usually when things are on the cheap, they tend to break or have shorts in the wires. Not the case with this product. I use it in the car and a few times, it has saved my phone from dropping on the floor. The coiled wire is short but will stretch to fit in a holder, but I wouldn't recommend constantly straining the coil.

This seems to be a really well made unit. It feels high quality and well made. So far, it is working great.

I use the product for the first time yesterday in my car and it seemed to work quite well I was afraid to actually use it as even though it says Apple Apple Apple all over the packaging I was told by Leo Laporte that unless it says Apple certified on itthat it is not a certified Apple product so so far so good I hope it doesn't damage my Apple product I did find the cord quite short but any longer I guess would've gotten in the way

The cord does not charge the iPad at all. I don't have an iPhone so I can't rate the other part of the charger.
