Quality item, good packing, check hardware
Despite having an excellent packing job from the factory it was no match for careless shippers. No real damage but some screws were loose and 1 or 2 fell out. Not a huge deal because they were in the box but just check them all when removing from the box. Seems like a quality item and looks great. Hope is lasts.

Disappointed
Haven’t had it installed but for six months and the lights start acting up off and on tried looking on website for replacement but no luck.

Perfect
Used with custom built hood vent cover. Easy to install, just awkward to lift up high when mounting, requires 2 people. Works great. Don't clean grates in place, they easily fall out when doing so & could have easily damaged the top on range.

Super impressed!!
I’m very happy with the vent hood!! It was very easy to install, looks great and does a great job eliminating heat away from the gas stove. I am also impressed with all of the different settings from “Quiet” mode to “High”, and it’s not as loud as some other vent hoods that I’ve had.

Broken
Fan was broken when it arrived. It sounds like metal is scraping metal. Shipping back.

Good range hood
This hood was a good price as far as these types of hoods are concerned. It looks great and feels like a quality unit. I received the unit and noticed the vent grates had some deep scratches. Customer service replaced them immediately with no trouble so they get an A+ for that. Don't expect this to be a simple install. This is not a unit that will bolt right up to your upper cabinet like a standard fume hood. I had planned to build a custom housing so no big deal. Overall I have two complaints. One, the noise level is pretty loud. Still quieter than some but not much. The second is the vent grates are meant to be removeable so you can clean them easily but when they stamp these things out in the factory, they do not clean the edges up at all. The things are like razorblades! Figure something intended for such hands on use would be safe to tough. I took a small file to mine and knocked off the sharp edges which was a pain but totally necessary unless you want bloody fingers.

Two Stars
Arrived with loose screws and parts all over in the box.

Noisy motor
Motor has a high pitched whine/ringing that occurs at higher speeds. Pulling down on the motor reduces it temporarily. Manufacturer was unhelpful in sending a replacement.EDIT: Unit was shipped with loose screws on the brackets holding the motor. One by one, they kept falling off and the vibrations were getting much worse as a result. It was difficult getting them back on after the unit was installed. Once properly tightened, the vibrations and whine were significantly reduced.
