Still a digital download even with the cartridge.
The game itself is fantastic, but if you want it on your Switch 2 just get it digitally. This is just a Key Card. When you put the game in your console it downloads the entire game digitally. I will be returning this.

Charging 20 to 30 dollars more for a Digital Version of a 10 year old game because it's on Switch 2
A game key card for a game that's already on the disc on PS4 and they're charging 20 to 30 dollars more for this version. You're basically paying 20 to 30 dollars more for a digital copy of the exact same game that is available on PS4 / PS5. It's also going to look & play better on those consoles. So If you already have this game for PS4 / PS5 or on Digital on Xbox or PC, don't bother with this version. This game will play better, look better, it's actually on the disc on PS4/PS5 & it's cheaper on those more powerful consoles. How does this pricing model make any sense? Charging 20 to 30 dollars more for a digital version of a game that is physically on the disc on other platforms and plays/looks better on those consoles. This is just pure greed at this point. So disappointed that SEGA wouldn't put this game on the cartridge. It's not gonna break the bank for them. Storage is already an issue with the Switch 2 & all these game key cards are going to make it a very problematic issue for a lot of people this generation.

The review is about the game, not keycard
One of the best games of all times. And Remastered.

Great game and Great additional Content!
This Game is a game Key with the physical game being the unlock code/key for it. Playstation and Xbox both use these practices. Do not let this detour you and yes you can play it offline even if you're not online due to the access key being on your device!

If you want it buy it digital key cards require full installation, game files not included
This is one of the most anti consumers practices I've seen in a long time. Suggest staying as far away from switch 2 as possible(I did and im loving my decision) but if you must atleast don't waste your money on game key cards. You literally don't own the game

My favorite in the series… but…
Yakuza 0 is such a refreshingly fun game, building upon the established lore of the series. 1980s Japan is, by all accounts, a wild point in its history, filled to the brim with excess and sat neck in neck with the U.S. as a global superpower. Yakuza 0 serves as an incredible prequel, and should absolutely be picked up if you enjoy a good brawler and exploring new cultures. The Switch 2 port has two major flaws:It doesn’t run as smoothly as the PS4 version (somewhat expected) and the physical version requires the entire game to download to your system (unexpected and unwelcome). It has all of the downsides of physical and digital games with none of the upsides.Unless you are dying to have another plastic box on your shelf, this game key card is basically future trash. Yakuza deserves way better than this.
