Good product as expected. Just too bad the housing that the person went in was more damaged than I thought.

Decided on this kit after reading reviews, I didn't see complaints about noise like I did with other similar kits. My mixer was quieter than when first purchased after it ran for a minute or two. These gears seemed as hard as the originals so they should last as long, that would be about 20 years of pretty good service, we ran a small catering business for a while so it got a workout for those years. The kit had everything I needed to replace the gear assembly, with one exception, see the image. You will need to reuse the original shafts and bushings, but mine didn't show signs of wear so I was good with that. Very simple process as long as you note what goes where before you disassemble the original assembly. Only problem I had was my original race and bearings were completely gone, so I had to find videos of the process to see where the bearings went, check out you tube. Be sure to pack plenty of grease to make the gears work better. A lot cheaper than replacing the whole mixer. This kit does not include the one gear used to drive the rotation of the paddle/whisk shaft, this is located under the mixer at the top of that shaft. You need to take the main assembly apart to get to this gear. Mine wasn't worn so it was not an issue for me, but you may want to check yours before ordering. As far as the tools that were included, they are fine for a limited use, but did not fit my original snap ring. The holes on the original snap ring were too small for the pins on the pliers. I would expect that the specs have changed over the years on the snap ring. I would expect to pay $10-$20 for these pliers if I had to purchase them separately so no complaints but worth mentioning. I lost my good set of snap ring pliers so I made due with these by filing down the pins a hair.

Everything installed correctly, and then the new gears lasted less than a month (3 uses total). They wore down and were leaving metal shavings in the grease. I don't know if they are using cheap metal for these or what, but they broke down so quickly it feels scammy to be honest. See pictures (grease wiped off for clarity).
