Best purchase of my life???
I bought this refurbished and honestly I would've paid full price for it. In my opinion, this is the best value for money TV on the market. The 120hz refresh rate and 1ms response times make it perfect for gaming. And the Dolby vision, 4K resolution and extremely high contrast display make it the perfect cinema TV as well. It goes super bright and the built in speakers made me question if I even needed a sound bar they are so good. (I got one anyway but the built in speakers are seriously good). The remote is extremely intuitive and you can just point it at the tv and a cursor will come up that you can just wave your hand around to control. It also has a microphone on the remote that you can just press and speak into the search for things. This speeds up my YouTube watching 10 fold. honestly if you are in the fence then just buy it. If you aren’t on the fence… then just buy it. You don’t think you need it till you’ve got it. And then you’ll never look back. Thrilled is the only word I can use.

Excellent TV - Amazon may not be your best source
The TV was easy to set up with minimal fuss. The plastic stand might not be the most glamorous but it holds the TV securely without requiring a wide TV cabinet. I've bought a wall bracket but haven't used it yet (I’m moving house). The TV is light and thin (VERY THIN) and won’t stress a elbow bracket. In 20 minutes or so the TV was tuned in to freeview and satellite channels. The setup was intuitive. A few minutes had it connected to my NAS drive. Connecting to Netflix was equally as straightforward.Connecting the soundbar was a little fiddly but a couple of tweaks to the sound options soon had it working fine. This could have as much to do with my soundbar as the TV. The optical audio connection produces an impressive sound.Without the soundbar the TV sound was OK but this TV is a visual experience I’ve not seen before outside of top-end TV retailers. When the TV was setup the BBC was broadcasting Blue Planet and the images were stunning. I was happy to have spent the extra money on a good quality soundbar to produce a first-class TV entertainment centre.Other reviewers will be better qualified to comment on the technical details. I’ve read several of those reviews and it might be important to point out that I do not intend to use the TV for gaming. It may be that this B9 might be out-performed by the newer C9 but I was just looking for a first-class TV – not a gaming console. I got what I wanted.Final advice – Amazon (at the time of writing) is not the cheapest retailer and it took over three weeks for them to deliver the TV. You may find high street retailers will serve you better.

Versatile TV
I really like this. I had an LG LED before but the image is much clearer with OLED.The image settings range from almost too dull to see clearly to really bright vivid colour.I would have preferred a simple brightness control but the fixed settings give enough options. The warnings that the more vivid the picture, the more energy the TV will use are wasted on me because I can't see the point in not having the picture bright enough to see properly. I can't say I've noticed any increase in electricity usage anyway.I did find it quite heavy when fitting it to my wall bracket but then I was doing it by myself which wasn't recommended. The top half of the tv is incredibly thin with all the 'works' in the bottom half and consequently all the weight is at the bottom too.I was a bit worried about the reviews that mention burn in and for a while I avoided pausing DVDs when leaving the room but over the few weeks I've had the Tv I've got used to leaving the picture paused for longer periods and haven't seen any sign of burn in. Certainly the on screen channel logos haven't caused any problems. I suppose it all depends on how long the image is static but I can't imagine wanting to leaving a frozen image for very long. The built in sound is very much better than my old LG but I use home cinema speakers for preference because I already had them. All the same, sometimes I forget to switch to surround sound and don't always notice at first because the TV sound is perfectly acceptable for normal broadcast programmes. The remote control is different to any I've had before, with the on screen cursor for selecting. It does revert to normal button use if you don't use the cursor much but you can bring it back by shaking the remote.Handy to have a scroll wheel when using the programme guide. The pre-set facility is handy for switching to favourite channels, including to i-player etc and it's easy to change the pre-sets as and when required. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
