Easy to program, Does what is claims
The phone was simple to program. I keep it switched to the position that allows Mom to pick up the receiver, listen for a dial tone, then press the name of the person she wants to call. You have the choice to put it in a mode that allows you to use it like a regular phone as well, but in that mode Mom has to remember to press another button before she can use the memory dialing feature. I like to keep it simple. We have started with names rather than pictures, but we can later move to pictures if she is having trouble. The phone company in our area recently implemented a change that requires everyone to dial 1 + area code before ALL numbers, even local calls! That made it harder for Mom, so this makes it so much simpler. Yes, the phone is light weight plastic, but I think it is sturdy enough to last. The amplification feature on the headset makes it easy for her to hear. It does not have speaker phone. We bought a longer (extension) curly cord for the receiver so she can move farther away from the base if she wants to.

Great for elderly people that talk a long time to dial
This is why I pay for Prime my elderly Dad’s. Phone stopped working and I knew he needed a better solution for dialing out. No stores that I know of carry phones like this. I ordered at about 6pm and the phone arrived by 3 the next day. Easy to set up just be mindful that 1 and 3 need to be cut at an angle to fit. Great Product.

Grandma loves it
Grandma has a hard time with regular phones, she can use this one with ease. I had to have someone else program itbecause I didn't have time and we had to disable the 911 button because she called it in error. But she does love it andthat makes me happy.

Do not buy! Terrible product!
I bought this phone for my mother. It is absolute junk. Please do not waste your money. I received a "Future Call" phone. The static is so bad and so loud you can not hear anything on this phone. I even bought better cords to go with it, neither work!! It's a terrible product!

Not good for dementia patients
The volume is too low. The pictures wont stay in the slots. Should not have a 911 button. The "dementia" patient pushes the 911 button repeatedly.

Fantastic for dementia patients!
My Mom has dementia and this phone is perfect for her. Easy programming, one-touch calling.Only drawback is no screen to show who is calling and no record of calls but this is okay for our use. Other phones in the house shows recent calls.

Hearing quality not up to par.
Bought this as a gift for my 96 year old Mother. She is hard of hearing and wears hearing aids. She had been using a cell phone but we would have to repeat almost everything we said. Thought this amplified phone would work better for her. When she tried this phone she had a worse time hearing. The volume level was fine but she said the voices she was hearing were distorted. My sister and her husband tried it and they said that hearing quality was full of static. We decided to return the phone and try a different model.
