My mom had this cooks essential sitting in her basement for years, so I ended up taking it when I moved out, and loved it. It recently blew a fuse, though. Luckily I found this lovely Amazon listing and it worked great! Just took the existing red fuse wire out and swapped this one in and it sprung back to life.

I can’t believe how easy this was to replace. I have never done a single electric thing in my life. Not sure this counts, but the Nesco canner blew a fuse and I replaced it with this one as someone mentioned it worked with their Carey. It worked! Yay! Off to can something!

Worked, still working - easy fix once you get the air fryer apart cheaper than buying a new unit

So, like many, I love my pressure cooker. However after 3 years of use, it all of a sudden died. No lights etc. I ordered a new power cord at first but still no lights or power to the cooker. After looking on youtube, I found that it is common for the fuses on all brands of pressure cookers to go out (usually every 1-4 yrs depending on use). This seller, Soul Living, was great. My model was not listed so I sent pictures of my fuse and sure enough, found that this one would fit. It took me all of 5-10 min to review a how to youtube video and replace the fuse. Now, my pressure cooker is working fine again. Seller has two different fuses so look at the end connections to make sure you are getting the correct one as they seem to be pretty universal but one of them should work for most.

While this is not an "exact" replacement, it does allow the cooker to operate. I needed to replace one of the end connectors to make it operate properly, but there were really no difficulties.

I live in TinyTown, where there are NO small appliance repair shops. I LOVE my Carey pressure canner, so much so that when Carey #1 refused to turn on, I promptly bought another. This year is going to be a heavy canning season. I found this fuse in a Facebook Carey canning group. As I'm a tech / mechanical dolt, I looked for someone to install it for me. Thought I had found one but then he poofed. Watched some YouTube videos (the one listed in the product description apparently no longer exists), figured I could work a screwdriver okay, then gave it a try. It took me much longer than others here report, but hey - I'm a mechanically challenged grandma. Even so, I plugged that baby in after getting it put back together and I'm now in business with TWO working Carey canners :)

Unfortunately I have to return this product. I thought I would be getting what is pictured on Amazon - a wire attached to the blue wire with connectors on both ends. Even the other product reviews indicated that's what I was ordering. Instead, I got two fuses. Alone. Not connected to anything. Just in a small ziplock bag. BUMMER!I'm sure the two fuses I received would work, but I don't have time, or the other tools, to solder a fuse into the the old harness w/the connectors.I've started a return and am sending them back. I'm going to risk ordering this again; perhaps I got the wrong part because of a warehouse mistake. IF I get the right thing this time, I'll update this review. Otherwise...it stays at 1 Star. :(

If I could give this GJS fuse10 stars, I would! This fuse was a life saver as my favorite pressure cooker died on me in middle of cooking and I almost thew it away. But decided to try this fuse and see if it works. It arrived the next day and I followed the instructions (which are very simple steps) replaced the fuse, and Voila!!!My pressure cooker came back to life. And it is priced very reasonably. THANK YOU!!!

I installed this on my airfrier , been about 10 uses and still going..

The fuse does not fit the Fagor 8-qt pressure cooker. The description left me confused.
