Sounds of the Wild: Bugs (Pledger Sounds) Pop-Up – October 11, 2011

I bought this one and many others from the "Sound of the Wild" collectionI rated these 4 stars as there has been a lot of effort and thought put into these bookswith that said I would give an appropriate age rating of 6+ as they cannot be fully appreciated by younger kids that haven't learned to read yetSounds are not necessarily relevant to the sceneThey weigh a lot so if your shipping it to a international mail forwarding facility I would suggest to ship internationally with amazonI'm not rating this specific book but the whole collection

I bought the first four books from this series from Costco and the kids (and adults) loved them. So I got two more for one set of grandkids and started the youngest (20 months) on his series.It's a good thing I bought this Bugs one for him because he was afraid of the jungle book. It took him two days to open this book on his own but then he would bring us the books several times a day to read to him. The Jungle book is still a bit scary.The three older kids (started when they were two and three) have been reading these books for two years and none of them are torn or broken.I highly recommend.

I purchased this book without a recommendation or any prior knowledge of it--all I knew is that my 3 year old Granddaughter loves pop up books. I received this yesterday and it's absolutely delightful!! The illustrations on the pop-ups, the colors, and the sounds are totally awesome!! I know my Granddaughters will love it--even the 1 year old. I highly recommend this book--and I will be ordering all of the other ones!

Wonderful world of bugs! You will hear sounds of the buggy world plus view beautiful illustrations. Amazon has done a particularly great job representing this book! Not only a book for children ... but anyone!! Enjoy!!

Pop ups still were in tact but there was no sound so a great disappointment to my little one

Excellent quality/craftsmanship. Best pop up book I have ever seen and the sound is an added bonus. Well worth the money spent on this book. I will be purchasing the ocean pop up as well. Have had and been using for a couple months now and have had no problem with the sound.

My son has loved these sounds books since he was two months old. The sounds captivated him then, now at ten months he is also into the pictures and the text will be for later. Excellent book!

Really neat books. You have to flip back and forth through the pages to read the names and descriptions of the bugs, but I still love them.

Both of the Sounds of the Wild books I got shipped arrived with damage to the spine of the books. It was too close to Christmas to return them, so I just taped them up, but it was a bit disappointing.

Sounds didn’t work even when I put in new batteries. Disappointing.

I bought this for my granddaughter's 5th birthday. It's brilliant and I've met the artist who is wonderfully talented. I have one small gripe - there is a typo. It should be "longhorn beetle" and not "longicorn beetle." Otherwise perfect.

these books are brilliant for all ages, bought it for my 18 month old granddaughter as we have the jungle one which she loves

If you like bugs and sounds this book is great, there's real attention to detail and every time you read it you make little new discoveries of hidden bugs under leaves / the pop-out is really 3D. It's got me thinking I should purchase the other books in the series!
