Dr. Spock's Baby and Child Care, 10th edition

Someone gave this book to me when I was pregnant with our first child. I still have it.I like to order this book for new parents in hopes that they will treasure and follow the information that is in the book to their best ability.The price is very affordable.

Things happen. My son was on the receiving end of being a new single father. He didn't have any idea what to do. So i bought him this book. He got alot from it and read the entire book several times over. Even after the baby was born, he went back through certain chapters. All parents having their first child should read this book.

this is great book to gift ,i past this down to other family members.. and to my daughters ! a must have !! especially when it’s there for a beginner mom n dad to be !!

I read and used this book when my first born was born. I bot it for my granddaughter who just delivered a 9lb.12 oz baby girl. Dr. Spock has everything you will need to know. Only one thing was wrong that I did. When potty training my son- I praised him for his accomplishment as Dr. Spock suggested. At three years of age - he had a friend playing with him and he said to the friend. Come see my mother (I was sitting on the toilet.)

I'm in my 70's. When I had my first baby in 1972, Dr. Spock was who I turned to. He wasn't everyone's "cup of tea", but I thought he had very helpful, down-to-earth information for a young mother who hadn't been around babies that much. I bought this 10th edition because I'm going to be taking care of our newest grandchild, and I wanted to refresh my memory about basic childcare. (It's amazing how much you can forget!) Dr. Spock is gone now, but the man who wrote this updated version seems to have a lot of the same opinions as Dr. Spock did.

39 years ago the original was an invaluable tool for me as a new mother. This copy is for my daughter who has not had her baby yet but she thinks it will be very helpful. I am convinced that it will be a lot more helpful than she realizes once the baby is born.

It’s like having mom or grandma right there. Answers questions like what could this rash be?Great for middle of the night concerns. 😁

A great book to have when you have your first baby. I used it myself and now I got it for my daughter.
