Have you gone nose blind to household odors or dust?Check multiple measures of your home's air quality. FAN onboard allows REAL-TIME accurate monitoring of temperature (in C/F), humidity, formaldehyde (HCHO), total volatile organic compounds (TVOC), and micron-sized fine particulate dust (PM2.5/PM1.0/PM10). Formaldehyde is an environmental carcinogen yet odorless at lower concentrations. Detect low levels of airborne TVOCs not perceivable to the human nose. This device was featured with cabin filter testing during 2018 CA fires (see photos).Problems with allergies? This air quality monitor with built-in stand can continuously monitor your air quality and when you need to change your home’s air filter. Watch the levels of indoor total volatile organic compounds and formaldehyde drop when the windows are opened. Learn where air quality is poorer and where your allergies can worsen. Allergies that are difficult to control with unexplained coughing, runny nose, and shortness of breath may be signs of sick building syndrome.Tips on Use:-Calibrate if 0.000 indoor readings noted or with new device.-Large variations & 9.999 TVOC readings do not indicate an error as this instrument is a sensitive electronic nose; environmental TVOCs vary much and high TVOCs often can result from interference from benign fragrances or odorsSpecifications:-2.8“ color 240 x 320 LCD-DC 5V USB charging, runs 2-3 hrs on Li battery-HCHO: 0-1.999 mg/m³-TVOC: 0-9.999 mg/m³-PM1.0/PM2.5/PM10: 0-999 μg/m³As the only US based retailer of this item, we have a chemist on staff to answer any technical questions. It will drive you insane
Reader, embark on this crusade at your own peril, or you will assuredly end up like me: a slave to your VOC monitor. It began with a strange smell in my apartment. It ended with hundreds of dollars of air purification products, frigid howling winds coming in through all our windows at all hours of the day and night, and a few hundred more in lab air tests from PRISM. Does the device function? Somewhat, but probably not very well and certainly not consistently. For example, I put it in front of the vent of my expensive activated carbon-zeolite-potassium-iodide hospital-grade air purifier today: the VOCs went down to 0 then shot up to 3.999 ml/m3 in two seconds. The logic will tie your brain in knots: you'll put the machine in a room, then open all the windows and wait to find that the machine shows an increase of formaldehyde and VOCs despite the air being markedly cleaner. We did have problems with the air: my chest and eyes are easily irritated by smells and chemicals. The lab-analyzed home air test we did came back with some elevated levels, particularly of formaldehyde, which is probably from all the new flooring, walls, and furniture in this house. It will not help you to have this madly beeping device scream at you that your VOCs and formaldehyde levels exceed the recommended levels, and yes it does beep, and no there's no way to shut it up except, in a moment of weakness to throw the thing out the window, which is by the way, the only place it will feel truly content. You may not be able to live outside, but your little VOC monitor will settle for nothing less.I'm sure that this thing gets it generally right: it seems to go green and happy outside, and higher indoors. But don't take this as proof that it knows what's going on in terms of dangerous chemicals. Probably it's sensing CO2 rather than the more disconcerting chemicals like benzene. As for formaldehyde, I have my doubts that this is an accurate sensor for that. Just try breathing on it and you'll see: apparently your lungs are full of VOCs, including formaldehyde. That is, anyway, how the manufacturer explains those anomalous readings. You will be looking for the source of all your woes and you'll find that it was inside you all along.Friend, learn from my mistakes: don't lose many, many hours fretting that your air purifier isn't working, or that the woman who lived in your apartment before you cemented her baby into the wall, where it is now fermenting. If there is a bad smell, or some chemical odors in your home, open the window. No air purifier can come close to the air quality outside. Worried about smoke? The best monitor available is already in your possession: your nose. No sense of smell? Get a monitor that doesn't beep. Honestly if it wasn't for that ear-piercing, uncontrollable beep, I wouldn't even be writing this. Its arbitrariness, its alarmism, and even its remarkably badly written instructions (good luck interpreting those), give me the sense that this is no monitor at all, just a psychological torture device. The world is full of dangerous invisible compounds. Acrylamide in coffee, toast, and anything browned; meat of all kinds, PCBs in fish, fat derived from animals, benzene, formaldehyde, plastics, toothpaste, deodorant, refrigeration, alcohol. The list is, increasingly, endless. If you are anything like me, you are at your wits end trying to responsibly avoid these toxins. The last thing you need is an inconsistent device from Hell haunting your every waking minute with the possibility that maybe it's smelling something truly carcinogenic in your bedroom.

Pleasantly surprised, good value
I was a little wary of this product when I purchased it just based on the low price and mixed reviews, but having used it for a few weeks now I'm pretty happy with it. It's not the most fully featured, but for the price I think it's a good value.I think the PM counts are probably pretty accurate, as they seem to match the official government counts when I test the outdoor air. I don't know exactly how accurate the formaldehyde and VOC readings are because I don't have a good reference, but they can detect when my wife opens a bottle of nail polish or nail polish remover from across the house (the readings go off the charts), so they definitely do work at least somewhat. The only thing is that quite often I'll get "phantom" VOC or formaldehyde readings with no obvious source, and my home (which doesn't have any new furniture or anything) often reads pretty high on these measures. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the sensor, or a problem with my home. Be aware, once you get this, you may drive yourself crazy trying to pinpoint the sources of high readings! In terms of things that I wish would improve--I'd really love to have basic graphing/measurement history, and I'd love if the battery lasted more than a couple hours. But like I said, if all you want is a basic and reasonably accurate air monitor, this should fit the bill.

GREAT PRODUCT and SELLERS
Great product, high quality, and very easy to operate. It came charged and ready to use. The sellers also sent additional instructions so that they would be easier to understand. I also contacted the sellers about an additional question, and they were so helpful and accommodating, and responded very quickly. I would definitely buy something from them again.

Disappointed and frustrated :-(
Bought this on Nov 12, 2018. Initially, I am impressed with this product. I used it for a few times and today, it gives a blank white screen. I tried restarting a few times but it did not help. I guess it is dead. Maybe, it suffered a defective batch. I hope to get a good replacement or a refund soon. Why it did not last??Later, I checked the website and it was no longer available for order. :-(

Works but there are better
It works but there are better ones. For about the same price, the B07B7KLMVW provides more ergonomic operation with smoother software. For slightly more, the B077HRXWGP is better quality, easy to operate and well polished.

Not accurate
At least not accurate on formaldehyde and pm 2.5.

Complete Lack of operational information
The manual/booklet tells you next to nothing about its operation and use. Its worthless without an understanding of how to properly operate this and understand the readings. From rrading other reviews I can see that I am in good company.
