Super cute book
Read this book to my 3rd grade class. They were able to make predictions about what would happen throughout the story and afterwards we made a snow globe craft ornament for their parents!

Great story and illustrations! Highly recommend!
I'm an elementary school teacher and another teacher recommended this book to read to my class during winter time. Since I wanted to make a snowglobe activity in which students' pictures were used as a family keepsake, I knew this would make a great way to tie literacy to the art craft. There are two families involved in the story; the real family who has a forgotten snow globe on the mantle and the family within the snow globe. As I read it aloud in class, I had to call attention to the two different families so that students understood what was happening. They enjoyed seeing how the lives of both families paralleled each other, from having the same family members (mother, father, brother, sister, and baby) and getting their wish of a snow day. SPOILER: At the end of the story both families were resting/sleeping from a fun-filled day of playing in the snow and the snow globe wishing for another blizzard soon. And, we are left with the cat spying a mouse hiding behind the snow globe on the mantle ready to pounce, foreshadowing the next "blizzard" not too far off. Beautiful illustrations, especially the ones showing what the snow globe family does when the globe is shaken; baby flying through the air and kids dangling from the chandelier! Lovely and very well done.

Teacher review
I bought this book to read to my kids (ages 5 and 6) on a snowy day. The story was simple enough for them to follow and answer question in the end. The pictures were sweet and added humor to the text. While I bought to read to my own kids, I think I will also read it aloud to my 5th grade students as I think they will equally appreciate the story and pictures (the end offers an opportunity it to make an inference). I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 because the book has a nice story but doesn’t offer any heartwarming message or memorable lessons. Still a nice story in all.

Cover ruined
Item came with residue from a large sticker on the cover. You were unable to see clearly the front cover of the book due to this.

Love this book!
One of my favorites to read to my preschool class in conjunction with making our own snow globes. I love seeing their eyes light up when they understand what is happening in the story.

Super story to be used with EYFS / KS1 to introduce winter theme or on a snow day. We followed this up with a 'if I was in a snowglobe...' craft and writing activity.

I bought this for use in school with 4-6 year olds. It really inspired their writing and is also a lovely story to just read and discuss.
