This seemed to slow the leak in an older Kia Sportage and it was a decent leak. Did not stop it completely but it did help. I think the seals need replacement. But it definitely slowed it which works for now!

Stopped a pretty bad rear main seal leak in a 14 year old car.

I bought a few bottles for a few of my cars that had valve gasket leaks. It helped most of the vehicles and reduced the oil leaks. It did not stop them but it did noticably reduce the oil leaks at least 50% so it's worth it.

Had a small oil leak in my 2010 Honda pilot poured this in it and my motor ceased. Not kidding. The motor did have 350,000 miles on it I was Using 20w-50. May have had a head gasket leak as well but ran fine for a one time with this leak but 2 days after I used bars leak there slowly was a major reduction in compression pressing the gas pedal did nothing at the end. Broke down completely about 1030pm on the highway last Sunday. Had to tow home. There’s a giant paperweight in front of my house I don’t know what to do with.. good thing is it is my moms car and I hate her THANKS BARSLEAK! I’m gonna have it towed as an abandoned vehicle and let her deal with the impound fees just to get a dead car 🤣 I went and bought a Kia Niro EV yesterday so i won’t be having any petty motor issues any longer

Ok…if you’re reading this then you’ve already searched the internet on whether or not this stuff is safe and/or if it works. As a mechanic, I generally like to take things apart and fix them properly but I have had such good luck with other Bars Leak products (Bars Leak radiator fix is truly amazing stuff )that I decided to give this a try. My issue was this. I had a zero turn mower that uses 20w50 full synthetic motor oil in its hydro’s. Most zero turns use a heavy viscosity motor oil which is why I went with the oil additive vs the hydraulic additive which Bars Leak also makes. Anyway, I had a hydro motor leaking ever so slightly. It would’ve been a huge job to take out and apart and I was pretty sure it was the same problem I’d had on another unit…a leaking o-ring on the low pressure side of the pump. Since this stuff softens the seals/o-rings and causes them to expand I figured it was perfect for the job. Well, it was. I put a little bit in the mowers reservoir and then mowed with it for about 45 minutes. I parked the machine on a piece of construction paper to let me know if I needed to add more or if the product failed. The next morning I came out annnnnnnnd……not a drop! It worked. For the price, this product is hard to beat. It’s inexpensive, easy to use and protects me from inadvertently running out of hydro oil.
