So far, really good.
My 97 Tahoe 5.7 Vortec with over 200,000 miles on it was randomly leaving pools of coolant when I parked it, so I consulted my mechanics. Told me it was likely the intake manifold. (Like one of the other reviewers, I had also had the original intake manifold gaskets replaced about five years earlier.) My engine oil cooler lines were leaking as well, and my driveway was becoming a mess. My shop wanted $933 to replace upper and lower manifold gaskets and oil cooler lines. Even though I'm no master mechanic (more like an unskilled pre-apprentice), I decided to save about $750 and try to do the job myself. A little intimidating at my level of experience.Bought these gaskets and they seemed very well-made. (Note: the box DID INCLUDE TWO, count 'em, TWO valve cover gaskets.) I used YouTube videos as a reference (1A Auto Parts has a very good collection of How To Fix Your Ancient Vortex-Powered GM Truck videos) and I actually managed to do a good job. The gaskets snapped right into place. Truck runs great now, not a drop of coolant or oil on my driveway any longer.I'd advise anyone without much mechanical experience (like me) to watch several YouTube videos on the subject first before attempting this. You will get a very good idea of what is involved, what problems to expect, and which tools you will need. I am glad that I decided to bite the bullet and do this myself. You can do it too!

Intake gaskets
Perfect fit, all the gaskets needed to get the job done and way better than oem one.

Great set of intake manifold gaskets for 1999 Chevy Suburban
My old lower intake manifold gasket (in the photo) was in terrible shape. I was leaking air and water into multiple cylinders. I ordered this set of gaskets. They seem much superior - more rigid (metal) center section and better gasket material around the cylinders. I used the entire set of gaskets and replaced the lower intake manifold gasket (shown in pictures before and after), the valve cover gaskets (2), the upper manifold gasket, the injector controller gasket, and the fuel line gaskets. My car runs great now. I was very impressed with the quality of the components and the fact that all of the gaskets (and gasket maker) were included in this package.

if you are installing a vortec intake on vortec head you NEED these
this is the third revision GM did to the vortec intake gaskets, the first ones had coolant leaks into the valley, the 2nd rubber lined ones worked longer but eventually leaked into the valley and then they came up with these that use metal plates to SEAL the passages and they work great. lil pricey but you really don't want coolant mixing in the oil pan.

VORTEC Intake gasket set
As described and fast shipping. Order this set to get the beefed up intake gaskets. The gaskets on this Vortec engine had been replace a couple of years earlier and had failed again. This seems to be a weak point on these engines due to the distance between intake bolts. I read that these resolved this weak point. It's been a year and so far no problems

Worked! Fast Shipper
I needed to do this dreaded repair as the OEM intake gasket failed at the typical front portion of the gasket and leaking coolant not only out side but worse inside the intake causing check engine under heavy load. Not Good. Also constant top offs. It was time. I chose this UPGRADED gasket as it is made of metal not paper, plastic or carbon fiber. It is definitely thicker so prepare and get extra RTV sealant as you would need to add a lot to make up for the thicker gasket. PRO-TIP, make absolutely sure you mark the distributor prior to removing, YES it and Valve covers need to be removed to take intake off. Oh yeah partial drain coolant so you do not flood the intake when your remove it. It took me 13+ hours so be prepared.
