Great for using on set. I also have used it on lighter lights, combined with the small rig clamp to hide lights in small places. I also use it on my RED cameras to hold up monitors and camera accessories. Super versatile and I always find myself buying more. It's all metal and super well built. If you tighten it well, it should stay in place.

i've had this small rig magic arm and clamp for over a year and it's been doing great a couple this with a 6 inch suction cup. so far I use my challenger to get videos and it hasn't fallen off yet or gotten loose as a matter of fact I use it as a support arm for my Insta 360 set up

This item does well for the price. It does fit a small countertop or other smaller thickness surfaces, it's a little wonky on the setup but is very versatile. Easy to tuck away in your bag for a quick mounting option.

I'm very pleased with the quality, this thing is super sturdy!NOTE: Turning the thumb screw in the center joint also tightens the ball sockets on both ends, so if the ball sockets aren't holding, just crank down really hard on the thumb screw and they will be very rigid. I don't know how this works but there must be a wedge inside connected to rods extending out to each end or something like that. Very clever engineering!

I like this gadget I use it all the time to hook up my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 to my bags, in my car, my table, and more! Pretty stable! and locks well!

So far so good. Works well and is very versatile.

This is the second Smallrig product I have purchased and I’m impressed with the quality. However, that being said the ball end had too much lubricant or it and didn’t tighten down properly. Wiping down with a paper towel around the ball cured that and now it holds like it should. The turn knob in the center tightens both arms up , pretty innovative.
