Much has already been written on the modern master and his work but this book is meticulously researched and put a real richness and colour to Aalto's life and works - correcting a few urban myths on the way. It provides a great insight into Aalto's complex character and how the events of the 20th century's shaped him and his work.Highly recommended for anyone who has wondered how and why Aalto created such great architecture.
