effective allergy/mite/bedbug protection
This is roomy easy to put on your duvet and appears to be sturdy. The only downsides are that it defeats the purpose of the featherbed because it is not porous and you get really hot in the night under this, and that it is a bit slippery. So, you end up tossing the duvet off you, after awhile, and it may have slid to the floor the next time you reach for it. However, if you need something to defeat mites/bugs, etc. this is great. It is also waterproof. As with every duvet cover I've had, the duvet will slip down into one end of the cover. If you need to be sure of mite/bug protection, you can't pin it in place. I have not solved this problem,so must rearrange the duvet in the cover fairly often (daily).

MAY not fit all standard Duvet Covers
Ordered this for a Queen size Duvet, however the cover is too small, length wise, to fit the entire Duvet flat. About 5 inches of my Duvet sticks out of the end of the cover, so I am returning it and ordering a King because I can't seem to find anyone that makes a protector that fits an 86"x91" Duvet. (Which is a pretty popular size)After MUCH research, I have finally located the measurements of this product.Dimensions:Twin: 66 inches wide x 86 inches longFull/ queen: 86 inches wide x 86 inches longKing: 86 inches wide x 106 inches long

gets very hot
I purchased this cover/protector a couple months ago. Thus-far, it has keep my down comforter clean and is definitely helping with my allergies. My only issue is that, because the material isn't permeable, it doesn't allow air to move freely around it. Because of this, it gets ridiculously HOT during the night. By 2AM I a full sweat and have kicked the covers off completely (in a house that is 70 degrees with the air conditioner on).Did it help with my allergies? SureWould I buy it again if I could go back? Probably not.

Seems waterproof but also heats up a lot
The cover is waterproof (whew!), but I have noticed that this duvet retains heat inside and isn't very breathable at all because of the membrane. That can lead to feeling uncomfortably warm/sweaty in the middle of the night or by the morning. I will be trying to find a cover that's more breathable than this cover, which has a rubbery layer on the inside of the cover. Alternatively, you may want to try a lighter comforter on the inside.

Good product that protects well
Great water proof cover for duvet. I use with another duvet cover over it and it slips around inside the duvet cover more now than before because of the slippery nature of this fabric.

nice...
It does what I need it to do.I wouldn't use it by itself, though. I have another cotton cover that goes over it - this by itself is not soft, but rather plasticky. But it does keep the sweat and mites off my duvet!

It felt like cotton. I wonder if it is real cotton
It felt like cotton. I wonder if it is real cotton. It is better than actually cotton. I bought the same Queen size from the other buyer who indicated 100% cotton. After I used both, this is way better! On the left of the photo is this product. On the right of the photo is the other product.

Would buy again despite lumpy blanket
The reviews were correct; the blankets inside bunch up a lot. That said, it's functionality for allergen protection seems excellent. I am thinking of using some velcro to keep the blankets in place.
